Green Barn Garden Center — Local services in Athens Township

Green barn is a wonderful garden center that has everything AND if it doesn't, just ask and they will get it for you! Honest, they do it for me. The service is superb. Now, they do not sell at Big Box prices BUT I can guarantee you will not get Hosta with HVX, or plants with bugs and fungus/disease. They grow or get in the BEST of the BEST plants. I don't care if I have to pay little more, it is worth it. I have bought everything here: annuals, perrenials, shrubs, trees-even harvested corn, beans and beets. My husband will not eat another fresh peach unless it is from the Barn and their Colorado peaches. They have a great seed selection, treatments for bugs/pests...Mulch, rock-well, you name it. I ❤️ The Green Barn! Very conveniently located off 65. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and the owner will always go above and beyond to answer any questions you have regardless if you bought your plants from them or not. We had an issue with some fungus on our lilac bushes and the owner immediately recognized it and offered us advice and products that saved us from having to remove them. She really cares about plants and helping the community! We also have taken advantage of their amazing workshops which are both fun and informative and will continue to come back every year! the green barn garden center has lovely sunflower fields that are accessible for $6 per person. the fields are located across the highway from the garden center. the fields are planted in succession so there are flowers blooming for weeks. we had a wonderful time and got some great pictures. it is a dirt path so wear proper shoes (especially if it were to rain) there are many props throughout to provide wonderful photo opportunities. it is a but of a long walk if you walk the entire thing but it is worth it. there are sunflowers for sale at the gate (low pollen variety and gorgeous!) there are also some food trucks (2) on site. very nice, my 7 year...
