Reigning Jewels Fine Jewelry — Local services in Athens

I brought my watch in today to have the battery replaced. The woman who answered the door (you have to ring a bell at the door) just looked at me as if to ask "What do you need?". After I walked in and told her what I needed, she rudely stated that she had nobody there today who could fix my watch. She then informed me it would be an entire week before someone would be available and that I could either leave it or come back. I just said never mind and left. Based on her attitude the entire time, it was obvious that I was inconveniencing her. The store was not at all busy. It looked as if I was the only customer there so I don't know what I could have been pulling her away from or interrupting. I can understand places can be short-staffed at times or maybe their repair person had an emergency but the sour attitude affords them the one-star rating. I don't give my money to people like this and if this woman's attitude is any reflection, I'm sure they don't care.

*Response to owner: If you had paid attention to my review, you would have seen that my complaint was not about your repair person being absent but about the rude and dismissive attitude of your associate. I get that staff members aren't always available; that happens and can't always be helped. However, if an associate is professional, he/she will ALWAYS greet customers with enthusiasm and a smile each and every time. I just picked up the wedding ring that I had custom-made for my fiancée. I spent (what I consider to be) a lot of money for this ring.This ring wasn’t really anything fancy, doesn’t even have any stones. I can’t say a lot about the ring because we will not see the rings until we put them on each other fingers. If she sees this review, then she will know what it looks like.

Anyway, to the point: the first two renderings they sent me looked like something you would get out of a gumball machine. When they finally sent me a rendering that I liked, I ordered the ring. When I picked it up today it doesn’t really look like what the rendering looked like. It was pretty close, but not what I had pictured in my head when I went to design the ring.

On a positive note, they did work with me quite a bit on my design. I finally had to tell them that I didn’t want the stones, etc.

Lastly, when I picked the ring up, they didn’t even provide a box to put it in.

From some of the reviews I have read, I would probably go back to them to sell jewelry because they seem to give you fair prices. Also, I would probably buy jewelry from them that is in stock. I just wouldn’t go through the customization process...

I love having a high quality jewelry store in Athens. I love that they listen to what a person likes and desires and they do their best to make it happen.

Add to review 9-7-23....if you are looking for a place to have appraisal done on jewelry, this is the place to go. Amazing service and always willing to go above and beyond for their customers. I have also had some earrings switched over to screw back style posts and they were super understanding at how important and special those earrings are to me. I also can't wait to see the custom piece being made for me for an upcoming 25th anniversary!
