Petit Jean is one of our FAVORITE Arkansas State Parks! We go at least twice a year...sometimes more!! #Sponsored Everyone knows about Cedar Falls...it's the most iconic waterfall in the state! But do you know about all the amazing things to do on the mountain OUTSIDE of the State Park?! ☕️ Petit Jean Coffeehouse should be everyone's first stop for coffee, sandwiches and gifts! That chicken salad croissant is 🤌 @petitjeancoffeehouseandmerc 🚗 The Museum of Automobiles has a fantastic collection of vintage and antique cars and memorabilia 🐐 I can't say enough great things about Barnyard Friends!! The animals were all so cute and sweet. There were puppies and kittens too! And they offer a not too scary haunted hayride for the kids. They also have an Airbnb on the property if you wanna spend the night with the animals. 🥰 @barnyardfriends2006 ❤️ The Chapel at Camp Mitchell is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places on the mountain. @campmitchell 🤔 It was our first time going to the Rockefeller Institute and I had no idea they had coffee and food available at The Roustabout?! We learned something new on this trip too!! @rockefellerinstitute 🍎 Go by and say hi to Mr. Ed at the Petit Jean Farmer's Market! There are all kinds of goodies in there from local growers and vendors!! It's on the honor system, so bring cash. And we hear they're going to start offering hot air balloon rides soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that!! 🌞 @petitjeanfarmersmkt 🫶 Beaumont Springhouse is the CUTEST gift shop!! I could've taken home allllll the jewelry and bought all my Christmas gifts in one place!! @beaumontspringhouse 🍦Ice creat at The Outpost is always a favorite way to end a day on Petit Jean!! Stays: 😴Petit Jean Cliff House - Plenty of room for everyone and views for days!! @petitjeancliffhouse 😴Beaumont Springhouse Cottages - These unique A-frames are so cute!! 😴Petit Jean Coffeehouse Airbnb - it's connected to the Coffeehouse!! ☕️👌 Don't forget to SAVE this post for future reference and TAG someone you want to go to Petit Jean with!! #arkansas #visitarkansas #arstateparks #petitjean #daytrip Places to go in Arkansas

It's a great little gift shop! The people that were working there were very sweet and friendly! They have a awesome variety of fudge. We tried the rocky road and it was super good! They also have a bunch of different home made jellies and pickled delights.

Great people serving great fudge and ice cream. If you're hungry for something more than ice cream, definitely get either a burger or a sandwich. Take them up on the idea of a can drink and a bag of chips for $2 more, it is well worth it.🍦

My husband and parents were here at PJSP last year. While here we stopped in to the Outpost. There was a woman serving us who was friendly and helpful. We had gone in for the fudge. They had pumpkin that drew my attention. Asked for a little taste. It was so good, so we bought some, among other things like other fudge and ice cream. It was a great experience in 2016.

This year I was looking forward to the same great fudge and experience. Well, not the same at all. October 2017, the service has been horrible, along with old fudge. There's an older man behind the counter helping customers. He's got his hand on food without any gloves or napkins or anything between the food and his hands. Problem number one. Then, like last year, I asked for a sample of the pumpkin fudge. He rudely told me they don't sample. I then asked when it was made, for freshness sake, and being a Monday, he said earlier this week. I debated because he was using his bare hands and the fudge was old...and well, he was rude. We got a little piece and tried it. It was not fresh. My dad wanted ice cream on a cone. The man picked it up, bare hands again, and then wrapped the bottom in a napkin, after he'd touched the mouth of the cone.

A couple days later, my parents went back and he was there, along with a younger man/teen serving customers. Again, mom wanted pumpkin fudge. There was a new slab under a little chunk of the old. She asked for a cut off the new and the man flat out told her no.

The other thing, that comes to mind is the cost of water... $9.99. Yes, on every single case. We didn't need water, thankfully, or we'd have driven to Morrilton.

Needless to say, it was not a good experience this time. And we may be reporting it to the health department for the...

What a quaint little shop! Cute items for sale & good ice cream & fudge BUT OMG!! The service!! HORRIBLE!! One girl & two guys were working & were so very rude & disrespectful! We had our elderly mother & our special needs nephew in our party & when they asked questions, they were not treated very well. We were treated the same! As I stated earlier, the food items were good but we won't be back - we can find fudge/ice cream just as good somewhere else with much better service & respect!! Lost our business for sure!! UPDATE:::::My mother wanted more fudge - now! So .... we bit the bullet & went back.....&..... what wonderful folks were there this time!!! The nicest man & woman! They were so kind & patient - we had several people with several different orders & they treated each of us with kindness & respect! Thank you for showing us a 'more better' side of Petit Jean Mountain...

OUT OF DATE FOOD! HAIR IN MY BURGER!! Very dissatisfied with the microwave burger from the "deli/restaurant" in this shop. First off we were going to buy steaks from their freezer and they were out of date from 1/2016 (today is 7/8/17). So instead we ordered some burgers from the menu and went back to our campsite to eat. Went to bite into my burger and there was a long black hair wrapped in my lettuce! Took it back and the young man that made it did not even offer an apology and was not very happy to give me my money back, he actually THREW my change at my hand. Will not be back and DO NOT RECOMMEND! FYI: Bread, candy, and hamburger meat was also out of date! CHECK DATES if you dare to visit this rude little...
