Update: I really appreciate the attention and effort that the owner made to respond to my review, it is clear that they do genuinely care and take pride in their business. That alone is worth 5 stars. They even went out of their way to refund my order which I didn't even ask for. While we didn't experience friendly service on our visits, I don't feel that the business owner should be penalized for the staff and understand that you don't have control over how staff handles each and every situation.

I really want to like this place but this is our second visit with the same, not so great, experience. It is very cute and quaint little coffee shop and I am glad to have this option on the mountain where there is not a lot to offer other than nature. My biggest complaint is the staff has not been friendly on either of our visits. They seemed annoyed and inconvenienced on both visits... what I would expect at a fast food joint, but not the local coffee shop. I've receive much friendlier service at Starbucks. I am also really put off by their prices. I know it is the only coffee shop on the mountain, but it still feels like highway robbery to charge $7 for a medium espresso drink. I might could stomach the prices if the service was friendly... but on top of that, we were tried to order a decaf latte for my son. We were told they did not have decaf but could do a steamer (hot milk with a flavor pump). Then they tried to charge us full blown espresso drink price of $7 for a cup of hot milk. No thanks, I will buy two gallons for that price. I do appreciate all of the cute souveniers that they have to offer with their branding, and we did purchase a mug. They clearly place a high value on their branding and service, but without so much as a smile, it is not worth it to me. The drinks were made quickly and flavor was average. I will say that my husband had a white choclate mocha and there was some almost sour undertone to it that we couldn't quite place our finger on.... almost like it had some raspberry in it? It wasn't bad, just different from a normal...

We stopped at this place because we needed a “goodie“ - a cookie, scone, something. Turns out, they have the best scones we’ve ever had in our lives! I mean, my brother was crying as he was eating his! OK, maybe he was just making weepy and moany noises, but he did mention that he “could cry it was so good“.

We got the apple cinnamon, blueberry, and the raspberry white chocolate, which were the flavors they had today. They were moist, but perfectly caramelized around the edges, sweet, but not deathly so, chewy, in a good way, and you could tell that they used “real” ingredients.

They were just really fabulous! So much so, that we went back two hours later to get some more since we were leaving the area later that day. I think the Apple cinnamon was the favorite, but it was hard to choose

I know they also have lunch and coffee. We did not get lunch, but my brother did get a coffee. He sent me in to get “something sweet and creamy with a double espresso shot”. The girls knew what to make, and he said it was perfect. I did notice they had various flavorings for the coffee from chocolate to lavender to cinnamon, if you are into that.

Absolutely a place I would go to again and again if I were in the area. As it was, we were just visiting the Petit Jean State Park, and they are just outside it’s a boundaries.

The building doesn’t look like much, and there’s no sign on the building, just at the entrance of the drive to indicate what it is. They close at 2 during the week (I think it’s 4 on the weekend), so be aware of that if you are in need of something sweet, or...

A Foretaste of Heaven on Earth, in the midst of Gods Creation

We were on Mount Petit Jean, one of the most visited state parks in all of Arkansas, we'd love to thank a Local Arkansas State Trooper & his wife for the lead on this place.

Stopped in early on a Friday Morning, were warmly welcomed and treated like family from , Miss Stephanie.

She gave us a full presentation on the yummy treats and delightful coffee's, Latte's and foo-foo drinks.

1 minute there, felt like we knew Stephanie our whole life. Salt of the earth type & a joy producer.

After the charming Emma made us our treats, delivered our baked goods, they encouraged us to browse the gift shop.

High Quality Top Shelf Merch, not cheaply made tourist trap junk, all quality.

We sat on the comfortable porch, breathed in some mountain air & enjoyed all that God had blessed us with on this journey, including meeting two of his choice...

If you are in the Petit Jean State Park area then this place is a must!! I’ve seen many other reviews saying how the coffee was delicious, I’m sure that is very true, unfortunately I came up on this place in the evening so I opted for a lavender earl gray tea and it was amazing. I also got the brown bag sandwich special and the sandwich was packed with protein which is exactly what I needed after a day of hiking. The girls working were so kind and helpful. The inside was super cute with a very pleasing aesthetic. Some indoor seating in a corner and a few outdoor tables. Inside they had some merch for sale along with some puzzles and coffee mugs. Perfect place to relax after a long day of hiking or a quiet place to chill and read a book.
