On Saturday (6/13/2018) after church services I was assaulted by a woman after church as I rolled up the aisle leaving the sanctuary (I am disabled I use a power chair to get around) People were standing beside the pew making difficult for me to advance up the aisles As a woman crossed in front I stopped my chair. After the woman I thought had cleared my path I began rolling forward next thin I felt someone punching me in my left that has nerve damage, when I turned around to see whom had punched me it was that woman that crossed in front of my chair. That has a stance as if she in my opinion she was saying yeah I hit you.. I found Pastor Pilgrim and the Pastor of the church I explain to them that I been assaulted.. I also suggested that they should ask that members keep the aisles clear for people using power chairs/scooters or walkers. Since the incidents neither pastors nor the communications director has attempted to contact me. Twice the director of communications (F Bussey) has stated that he would contact me after I gave him my information via email. I suffer with PTSD .I am apprehensive about going back to church.I do not feel that'it's safe. This picture was taken the day after the assault at Berean SDA church. Called this Church on suggestion from a Member, on behalf of a father and 4 children. I didnt ask for Money I asked if they could help him and his 4 children, only to be told that AT THIS TIME WE DON'T DO MONETARY HELP. First, I didn't even ask for Money, the man is on the expressway with Four Children and humble. And you wonder WHY the world doesn't respect the church. Maybe he might need a meal and some shelter. I give this church minus 5 stars because I have never in my 39 years every had an experience at a church like the one I had today I did not feel welcome there in fact I felt like I was an inconvenience to them and to them church is a business when no it is not a business it's a ministry to the world and there should be no place in a church for security of any kind and I will never go back to be disrespected...
