First and last experience. I got jumbo cornrows. I just moved into the neighborhood, my original hair stylist is in Marietta. I was hoping this place was going to be good since it’s closer. I dropped by earlier in the week to get the cost. When I came back two days later, they gave me a higher quote. And only agreed to the original amount cause I said I was leaving. I wish I had. So I agree when others say no set price, and it looks like they air up prices.
The lady doing my hair ignored my pleas to not include my edges, and kept yanking my hair tightly. Every once in a while she’d cough over me , not trying to cover her mouth, not wearing a mask.
She used a lighter and scissors on the finished cornrows, not caring that she was burning and cutting my hair in the process. I had bought my own Shine and Jam, and at the end she dumped a lot of it on my hair after, like it was moisturizer, so now I have a lot of build up. She ignored every protest and request from me.
I’ve felt so frustrated. It’s day two and I’m considering taking it down cause it hurts, from how tight it is. I’m in the service industry and I’m usually a strong tipper. I also like to support black owed or female owned business. But I couldn’t bring myself to tip and simply chose to pay the price quoted. And couldn’t bring myself not to leave this review
If you care, about your edges and the health of your hair, DO NOT GO HERE. They definitely need to learn more about their craft, hair care, customer service...
Read moreThis place is a mess. I went here twice the first was for my knotless braids for my birthday. I said i wanted burgundy and she said she had it when i got there she did t have enough packets to cover my head so she used some type of purple and red mixed. It was very inconvenient being i wanted burgundy and she said she had it and my birthday was literally the next day. When i took them out my scalp was covered in build up from the products she used. I tried everything to get it out but it just will not come out now my scalp is constantly flaking and itching. It has never done this before i went to them. The place is FILTHY! there’s spiders and bugs all on the floor i had to kill one that was about to crawl on my shoe. Nothing is wiped down. The second time i went there It was last minute and i just wanted straight backs into a bun. She charged me $120. I should’ve gotten my money back. They didn’t last me 2 weeks. They were sooooo itchy. And again she used all the product in my head which made my hair get even more buildup. I should’ve known better than to come back. But it was so last minute and i really needed my hair done. Not only that but she was late 15 minutes. And when i got there the door was unlocked but noones was in there just me and another client. My hair turned out great both times, but they don’t really care for your hair. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!! if you live your hair and your scalp do not come here. They also do not wear masks at...
Read moreSo I’ve been coming here for 2yrs now getting my hair done. The last 2 times I hated my hair. Recently I was going away so I made the 1hr drive from my house to get my hair done (mind you I get my hair done every 2months I wrap my hair with a scarf and put a bonnet on)) I got Senegalese twist (paid $255) brought my own hair as always not even two 2weeks later my hair was falling out. After about a week 3 in the back just fell out, a few day later I called them to ask if they could fix the 3 in the back and 3 in the front that are falling out. She text ok and says but it will be $30. I told her I don’t feel I should have to pay it hasn’t even been a full 2weeks yet (10 days to be exact).,She told me it’s been almost 2 weeks which is touch up time. I’ve never gotten touch up cause my usually last. I’m a hair stylist so In this business where there is so much competition your customer service is what should stand out. Word of mouth is everything. Helps keep you going.
Updated review we where able to talk things out. Now that is great customer service. And I really appreciate her reaching out me. That definitely made me feel like my business and satisfaction mattered....
