Wellman's Party&Bait — Local services in Au Sable Township

We were staying at a local resort last weekend and were having trouble getting my nephew's fishing pole around. He LOVES fishing and all things nature. It was recommended that we take him over to Wellman's so I called to ask if there was any way they could help us. They said, "Sure, bring him on in." My sister-in-law took him and they spent an hour or so showing him how to properly set up his fishing pole. They gave him weights and hooks. He asked a million questions and they were super friendly and patient with him, showing him around the store and telling him about the cool fish they have on display. Then, they invited him to fish right in the back of their store off their dock. My sister-in-law is a single mom. To have these men take time out of their schedules and show him so much kindness is something I will NEVER forget. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Wellman's first caught my heart when I met Carla. She may actually be the nicest person in Oscoda. I wish I had thought to say so on a review before, but a great reminder of what a great gift Wellman's is to our community is the great service. Wyatt introduced me to the jerky the other day, and WOW...not only was the jerky excellent, so were his manners and representation of the family quality of the store. I've been a few times and always had a good experience but I have to say that the steaks I got yesterday were probably the best steaks I've ever had. My husband and I picked up two ribeyes and I tell you they were melt in your mouth tender. A world apart from the grocery store steaks I've gotten in the area.

While I'm reviewing I will also say that the customer service is great. The staff is always friendly and helpful.
