Tina's Alterations — Local services in Auburn

Tina helped me out in a pinch. I am a man of taller size and niche proportions. My brother-in-law was getting married and needed me to wear a lilac colored vest as a member of of his wedding party. The internet yielded nothing even remotely in my size and the only option was to have one made. I asked around and was referred to Tina. In the midst of wedding and prom season she agreed to do it and tasked me with finding a pattern and fabric.

I traveled from Aubern to Snellville. First arriving at the Joanne's. Bought a pattern, but no compatible fabric. The employees then referred me to Fabric Depot. Great place, but I am not furnature. The patient manager of Fabric Depot then referred me to Fine Fabrics. When I arrived there was an overwhelming array of fabrics, and this gave me hope in the heat of my uncertainty. I was able to find exactly what I needed. So, I made off with my bounty and a made the delivery a few days later. Tina got to work!

I gave her a window of two months and she figured it out (having never made something like this). There was some trouble shooting, but in the end the vest looks great!

Tl;Dr Good work! She can make cloths if you gather the materials and AVOID WEDDING SEASON! Give her some autumn and...

Husbands experience today: Horrible service this morning. Brought my pants in for hemming, repair, and dry cleaning.

Lady over counter argued over a repair of pants done previously here (netting came off). Instead of owning up to it and providing a solution, lady became offensive and gave me all my pants back. All I did was ask her to repair the pants and how much it would cost.

I’ve been here at least 6 times in the last year, and she never gives a receipt. I asked her for a receipt and she said why. She doesn’t give receipts. She also said you look like you’ve never been here before. If she had a POS she would’ve been able to look me up and see I’ve been here all those times for the services. Instead of thanking me for being a repeat customer, she accused me of being a new customer and never seeing me before. Whether I’m a new customer or not, you don’t talk to your customers rudely.

I told her to give me my money back because she was being rude, and said I’ll take my money elsewhere, then she said she was just joking.

I took my money and pants back, went to a new place and the service was 100000x better.

I Will never come back...

Best place for alterations….EVER! Ms. Tina is incredibly talented and takes great pride in her work. Without question, her knowledge and expertise regarding her craft is unmatched. She doesn’t simply “alter clothes”…she makes sure that your clothes are “fitted!” When Ms. Tina does alterations, clothes go from “off the rack” to “tailored” in a few short days. After I dropped 6 sizes in a year, I had a closet full of clothes that were unbelievably huge…and many still had tags on them. I went from Athens to Gwinnett to find someone willing to save some of my favorites…and with each “highly rated” seamstress, I was told that it was impossible to alter clothes more than two sizes down and still maintain the integrity of the clothes. I almost gave up, but on a whim, I took one pair of pants to Ms. Tina. I tried them on, and three days later, I picked up perfectly fitted pants! The following day I took 15 more! I picked them up the following week…and as before, they were perfect! So…go see Ms. Tina! You won’t be disappointed! Her work is FABULOUS! She is kind, funny, talented, and respectful of your time and your budget…the perfect...
