I have never been treated so rudely in my life. We had a young group ahead of us that was a little slower than average. We didn't mind as this was our first time on this course and wanted to take it all in while we waited. This was fine, and even when Bill (works for Aurora Hills) asked us if they were to be an issue, we said no - we weren't in a rush. He then proceeded to rush me to tee off on a hole where I could clearly hit the young group ahead of us. I told him I rather wait, until they were further up. He came back about 5 minutes later and told my wife and I that we needed to let the TWO groups behind us skip us because they play there all the time and they are waiting on us - which was untrue when he already made it clear that it was the group ahead of us. We know the rules and regulations of the sport, and would have no problem letting them pass, but there was no where for them to go even if we let them by, they would be waiting for the group that was ahead of us (holding everyone up). I paid my money just like everyone else who was on the course that day! My first and unfortunately only experience was rude, pushy, rushed, and sadly I will NOT be returning here and will not be recommending...
Read moreI've lived near this golf course for 30 years and it's had its ups and downs. I was pleased to see in our most recent visit that they seem to have improved their "outreach" and the employees do not act as if it is a private snooty club, but rather attempt to welcome people. Larry and Jim were both out in carts helping people, complementing swings, and chatting with golfers (and not just the regulars, but everyone). We've done First Tee golf lessons for the kids and they are worth the cost. Lots of women play here, which has changed a ton over the last 20 years. I do wish the range balls were cheaper, or at least that youth under age 18 could get a lower rate for balls. Otherwise, I've heard Aurora Hills is becoming a preferred secret for many golfers of casual play, because it's well kept and yet not snooty, fairly paced, and welcoming. Good job, let's...
Read morePlayed course on 29 June 2025. Course staff was informative and welcoming. The course has great practice facilities with a full size range, putting green, pitching area, and chipping area. The course is is good condition. Tee boxes cut and level, fairways not patchy and really green, the rough is not too thick where it makes it not so fun, the bunkers well maintained, and the greens roll great!! They can be a bit fast as well. The course is really flat and good for walkers. Most holes on the course are pretty straight but they do have a few dog legs that make you think twice. I enjoyed this course and it is worth the price. I am glad I picked this course for a weekend getaway. Not sure what there is to complain about this place. Don't listen to those poor reviews. I took pictures to prove what this course is worth. Highly recommend to...
