Prose at Painted Prairie — Local services in Aurora

I am sending this email with hopes of getting a response as to why is it sooooo hard to get your manager at Prose at Painted Prairie, Sarah, to reach out?????? Let me explain the sloppiness I have experienced so far. I applied for a apartment at the mentioned location back in July/August. I applied using a cosigner and I also had my rental report that I am allowed to use within thirty days. The rental report has a pass sign and all other details about me and the cosigner. The young lady working the desk at the time told me I was rejected after my application. When I was told I was rejected she couldn't tell me why so I asked to speak to the manager. No respone. About a week later this complex told me they made a mistake and to pay a security deposit to hold my spot. I asked why was I now approved? Oh Sarah said so, says the receptionist. I paid a deposit and a 14$ app fee. For some reason they never got back to me after taking my deposit so I got approved elsewhere and continued to reach out NO RESPONSE! I sent several emails and nor respone I called and left messages and no one called back. Last week I decided to call my bank and tell ask for proof of payment so I can drive to the apartment. My bank notifies me that it's two payments I made. I go to the apartments to speak with Sarah, a young lady at the front desk ask's me can she help me I told her I needed to speak with Sarah. After asking three times Sarah finally gets up and asks can she help me. I had to explain my situation in the hallway before she even took me back. She finally discovered I am owed payment and gives me her card and told me she will follow up.......NO FOLLOW UP!!!! SLOPPY!!!! No other words for this womans behavior. I asked her why she never ever called me back or responded to my emails?????No response! This lady don't want to work she wants to look cute and give others the work to do!!! When I called Thursday, because she never called backkkkkk she told the receptionist to tell me the check was over night. What she did was wrong and she was unapologetic with no explanation and I plan on copy and pasting my experience on every platform there is because there is no way.......And no excuse..............I totally feel discriminated against! She felt I didn't know what I was talking about in reference to my refund and never returned my called for over 4 months she needs...

Just toured this rental property with Ashley. She was extremely kind and very knowledgeable of everything there is to offer. I was impressed with the level of professionalism, whether it be with the leasing agent, or the structural integrity and quality of the buildings, overall. I do have some more research to do today, but I would suggest this location as a great place to start fresh and as a place to safely raise a family. Thanks for all your help, and I look forward to potentially calling this place home. ❤️ Update: Depite being a preferred Amazon employee and being told that my application could be held until August, it was not. I had a medical LOA for the month before applying, and didn't have the stubs or anything at the time to show I could afford the unit I was holding at the time. Ashley seemed to be reaching out to me, and we set a date to speak on July 31st to go over my financials again and see what we could do. I wound up emailing my stubs and asked if I could get a response back via email as soon as she could to let me know if I was good. Nothing. I called at approximately 3:30pm to Ashley, who then told me that she got the chance to look at my stubs, but she cancelled my application. No email, no callback...Is this real? LOL.

I really wish I had better communication on what was happening. I wouldn't have bothered pursuing this if it was going to be too much of a hassle for everyone to handle. Amongst all of this, I even emailed the property manager listed, Sarah A. several weeks back in hopes that something could be worked out. No response....

Although I ultimately didn’t choose these apartments, I felt it was important to leave a review because of the amazing experience I had during my visit. The community itself is beautiful, well-kept, and has such a welcoming atmosphere—it’s clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining it. From the amenities to the overall environment, it definitely stood out to me while I was searching for a new home.

What made the biggest impact, though, was Ashley. From the moment I walked in, she was friendly, professional, and genuinely interested in helping me find what I was looking for. She took the time to answer all of my questions, walked me through the details, and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the process. Even though I didn’t end up choosing this community, Ashley still went above and beyond to make my experience a positive one.

It’s not often that you meet someone in this industry who is not only knowledgeable but also so patient and caring. Ashley left such a strong impression on me that I truly believe anyone working with her will feel supported and valued.
