Alteration by Monique — Local services in Austell

This woman was extremely rude. First, when we called her because we went to to old adresss that google maps showed instead of the new one she already answered the phone with an attitude and then asked us impatiently if we were coming right now because she was about to leave... the website says she closes at 5pm and we called her at 2:56pm. Second when we got there she definitely had an attitude, there was no nice welcome or anything and when I put the dress on and asked her if I could put the slip on she said no because it will be the same. Then she said "so you can be satisfied go ahead and put it on." with a sardonic face. I told her its okay I believe her but she still made me put it on because she wanted to "prove me wrong" I guess and last but not least she insulted my dress TO MY FACE asking "how much did you pay for it?" and then followed up with "it doesn't look like much." While looking my dress up and down. After I told her how much I spent then she proceeded to tell us it would cost almost twice the amount of the dress to fix it. So we left appalled at how RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL she was and went to another tailor 6 minutes down the road and she (Angela) was so much nicer and when she told us the total which was still over the actual dress price we booked with her because HER ATTITUDE WAS SO...

DO NOT GO HERE. I drove here, as the hours indicated it was open from 10a-630p. So many issues. The business is not where it is indicated online, and bc it wasn't open and Monique didn't answer the phone, I still cannot confirm which floor the place is located. In my attempt to patronize this business I drove out of my way for a closed location, I waited and she still never returned or returned my phone calls (it was a cell phone number). She also had a voice mail box which was full. If you are that busy, you should have an assist around to answer the door and the phone. This is why people don't patronize small black businesses, bc Monique is not handling her business. If y'all go here after this, tell her I want my gas money for going in the back woods of Austell. I don't know what bots she paid for these reviews. Don't do it, let me be the lesson learned...

I was hesitant to get my wedding dress altered. It was my grandmothers dress and I really needed someone to understand and get the vision I wanted for my wedding dress! I found Monique and it was the best find possible! She is so loving and you can tell she puts her heart in every stitch she does! She even got the stain out of the dress and she’s not the cleaners!!
