Building management here is terrible. Security are tyrannical. (What's the point of having basketball courts and a baseball field if no one's allowed near them?)
The signs say "employees and guests" can use the facilities, but security will harass you and treat you like a child, asking to see your badge.
They lied about how many people they "caught" so they could feel justified in wiping Pokemon Go from the map.
Looking forward to the rest of my time working here, spent safely indoors so I won't bother security.
Edit: This is getting viewed a lot, so I can only assume it's ruffling feathers with building management. My suggestion is to first listen to your employees, and to not take drastic, kneejerk reactions, even about something as silly as a mobile game. The signs at the courts say they're for use by employees and guests! I mean, come on, be reasonable, because how could anyone have ever known it was wrong to be there? Why not replace the signs if they did not contain up-to-date information about who was permitted to use them?
Having met so many other people playing these games while walking around the campus, I would safely estimate over 100 employees were using the game and the campus in this manner. That's over 100 people who now have lost both their motivation and source of exercise during a stressful work day, all because security power tripped and threw a tantrum. It's not too late to reverse the decision.
I plan to quit within the month because it's just not worth it anymore. Other places are...
