The day began with a text from Stella, whom I believe is the owner, exactly two hours before my reservation, asking when I wanted to reschedule due to rain. I found this a bit odd because, although it had been cloudy all weekend, I was at Lake Travis watching the sky clear up and thought it was a beautiful day. Stella called and suggested pushing back my reservation by 30 minutes to ensure the rain had passed, which was understandable and not an issue at all.

We arrived about 15 minutes early and saw what looked like a run-down boat with water up to your knees. Sonya, who was working hard to prepare the boat, greeted us. It seemed they might not have been ready, possibly expecting me to cancel or reschedule. When Sonya said everything was ready, I was pleasantly surprised. The boat was cleaned up nicely, and the presentation was fun.

Initially, we had trouble as the boat moved at 5 mph against the strong current, making it easy to get stuck in seaweed. Once we got the hang of it, it was a great time to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. I brought my 20-pound dog, who loved it. The umbrella, fan, and ice really helped him stay cool.

After an hour, I noticed the battery was running low, making it hard to go full speed and fight the current. About 20 minutes before our time was up, the battery was almost dead, and there was barely any speed, making me nervous we wouldn't make it back. Although we had to cut our time short, we overall had a great experience without a drop of rain. However, I wouldn't say this is worth your money. Sonya was the highlight of the experience, and I hope they address these minor issues because this place has the potential...

My husband and I visited the Love And Boat for his 40th birthday and it was absolutely hands-down 10 stars. From the customer service and timely responses when things were need. The place was so clean and smelled amazing. The bed was so comfortable and relaxing as well. The hot tub was very warm and clean and the sauna was on point. The cooking amenities worked amazing so we we’re able to grill some steaks on the patio and take it on the boat for a romantic dinner. Also, my husband loves to fish and there were so many amazing spots for him to fish. He caught some great catfish to bring back home. This place is not Just perfect for couples, but it’s amazing for a girls night or a meditation retreat to relax and connect with yourself. Hands-down, my husband and I will be returning and I will also be introducing this spot to my clients for a healing retreat. Best birthday staycation ever....
