A Scam. Don't waste your money or time! I signed up for the comprehensive blood panel as a new patient in Nov. 2024 for $499. Filled out the online questioner, scheduled my labs through the link they provided, printed my lab order, turned in at the lab and labs were drawn. 45 min consultation followed less than a week later. It was a video chat, I recorded it for future reference. I was not too impressed with the meeting. The provider was a few minutes late plus she though I just had a baby (he's 3.5 now) and that I was still nursing. That threw her off right off the bat and gave me the impression she was unorganized and that she did not take the time to review my information. During the video the providers cat keep jumping around and video she seemed very scripted. If I threw her off with a question, it was quickly redirected. After the 45 min timer, she stated she would put all of this info into a nice package for me and send via email. My "tailored, personal" plan was more of a generic plan off of a template because I noted multiple discrepancies in my report- copy & paste. Nevertheless, I told myself it was better than nothing and followed the guidelines to the best of my ability.
3 months later- I received followup reminders via text, email and phone. These reminders read: "It's time to schedule your follow-up labs with Ways2Well. Send us a message in the Charm Portal and choose your provider. Once our labs are in, we will contact you with your results are in." So, I proceeded with scheduling labs by logging into the portal, went to messages. Followed up with the schedule labs message and clicked on the link to book at LabCorp. Carefully picked a suitable date/time and printed the lab order to take with me.
A few days later Ways 2 Well contacted me stating in order for them to release the results, I needed to pay the $499 Comprehensive Follow Up Lab payment. I called W2W last Friday, 2/7, and spoke with a customer service rep concerning this issue. Unfortunately, young lady was unable to further assist me due to closing time and managerial support. That following Monday, I did not receive a followup phone call therefore, I sent an email that next day. The employee I was on a email thread with was adamant I enter my credit card information in the system and charge me $499 for further assistance and to release my labs He was not helpful and only wanted me to pay money, didn't even hear me. I asked if this was normal procedure to charge $499 for followups every 3 to 6 months. I received conflicting information on this but bottom line possibly $300 - $499. Felt like nobody could provide me with direct answers, just beat around the bush.
In my opinion, this program is not sustainable and leaves the customer "hanging" unless they open their pocketbooks. I was appalled by the lack of customer service and sick to my stomach feeling like it was "my fault" and I need to pay for my mistakes. In my situation, I started supplements and dietary adjustments but now, I have no idea if I should keep on these supplements or what? The only way to know is pay ANOTHER $499. I was not financially prepared to spend $1k within 4 months on comprehensive bloodwork.
Unfortunately, I had to delete my Charm account and say goodbye... with a cabinet full of supplements I have not idea what to do with and my bloodwork sitting on someones desk. TIME and BLOOD I'll...
Read moreI purchased a gold plan several months ago in attempt holistically address a variety of symptoms I was experiencing.
I worked with Danese Rexroad to evaluate blood panels and she was able to find clear indicators of what I was experiencing with my health. She was very helpful. She recommended a "treatment plan" and "prescribed" a few solutions. She requested that I follow up in 3 months to have another panel drawn to assess the efficacy of the plan.
Up until this point I was very satisfied with my experience at Ways2Well. I even recommended it to a close friend.
I set a reminder for a 3 month follow up on my phone, but did not receive any contact from Ways2Well. I emailed asking about a follow up as recommended and was cited the pricing packages again.
I was told I would need to purchase another package in order to assess the efficacy of the the "treatment plan" I was on.
I was blindsided by this. No one informed me that a requested follow up to measure the efficacy of the treatment plan was not included in the original fee. How can they substantiate the care without a post treatment measurement? No one even contacted me to inquire about how the treatment was progressing and if it was addressing my symptoms (which to be fair, it was, at least anecdotally which is why this is 3 stars instead of 2).
I certainly don't expect a follow up to be free but the lack of communication has not translated as a positive customer service. These are expensive, out of pocket services advertised deceptively as medical care.
THE KICKER - I see now upon reviewing the appendix of my "treatment plan" that none of the information contained therein is intended for or should be used for the purposes of treatment. Yet the website advertises "care" and "treatment" and "better clinical results" - a claim that I am unsure how they can substantiate given these legal disclaimers. This is suggestive of a business model that is unethical at worst and lacking transparency at best.
Ultimately, I decided that I will cease the "treatment" when I run out of supply and should I notice the return of symptoms, I will simply order online the herbs and supplements "prescribed" for a fraction of the several hundred dollars I'd have to pay Ways2Well again to speak with a registered nurse. I can simply go to a traditional MD under insurance should I need blood drawn for symptoms.
You may consider services with Ways2Well to gain an easily digestible and useful report of your internal chemistry, but do understand that an actually measurable "treatment" will cost you twice...
Read moreWas referred to W2W by my husband who is a firefighter. Many guys in his dept had used them and seen significant changes. My first appt was great. The wait to get in was a little long for someone who was ready to make immediate changes. That was fine though. Great insight and feedback on my first appt (July 2024). Email communication was quick and helpful. However, things went downhill from there. I reached out to schedule my next appt, and there were suddenly a ton of people cc’d on my email thread. The responses were much longer and didn’t seem to take into account, my history or things we had spoken about previously. My provider had changed, which was OK, but it didn’t seem like anyone was taking responsibility for me from that point on. I am very involved in my own healthcare And active in my own journey, and I would just expect a level of care that’s conducive to the effort I’m putting in. I was the only one reaching out, people would only respond to me if I had reached out with a question, and then only a very specifically answer that one question and not give me any guidance going forward. It was like everything was disconnected from my history with them. I had my second bloodwork done in December, and my appointment was great except for the fact that suddenly I had all these new issues and none of the old ones were addressed at all. I was given a load of new supplements and new prescriptions. The provider was seeing my lab results for the first time live while she was on the phone with me. There is obviously no prior review done (notes, previous labs, current labs) before the call with you. The provider seemed confused by some of my lab results saying they didn’t make sense for what we were doing, but I never got any answers to that. They also seemed alarmed by one of these results that didn’t make sense to them and immediately wanted to put me on some type of medication, but they didn’t understand why that reading was happening. I’m uncomfortable taking medications, especially when things are not considered on a baseline, or in this case, there were no answers as to why that number was the way it was. There was no follow up after that, I was the one who had to reach out with questions, I’m still uncertain about where my bloodwork stands. I’m going to get comprehensive bloodwork done somewhere else and compare it with my latest results to see if they are comparable or if ways to well has just dropped the ball on their...
