Steer clear. I wish I could give them negative stars. I will never work with Mario or Austin Tech Services again. It took them forever to respond after the initial request; that should've tipped me off to the rest of the service.

They came out in early November to provide a quote and gave one price per hour for labor, then when I got the quote on paper the labor cost was significantly higher. We worked this out and they corrected that. I was then asked to pay upfront for the work; this was a big mistake on my part. They happily took my money in early November to install 5 ethernet runs and one coax run in my house.

On the original day of the planned install, they didn't show and they did not respond to calls or text messages. Finally I got a hold of Mario the next day and he made up an excuse that he tried to contact me but that he must've contacted the wrong person.

They came out the following week to install the ethernet, but they didn't have the coax to install that day and I was told they'd need to come back to finish the work. It then took over a month and a half of me following up for Mario to respond the day before Christmas with a "promise to finish right after the holidays." The holidays came and went with no further responses from Mario to render the services I had already paid for. I ended up having to do a credit card chargeback because Mario completely ghosted me.

Not only was scheduling and communication a nightmare, when they finally did half the work, the wiring work was sloppy and they didn't test any of the connections after running them. I ended up having to fix two of the connections myself as they failed to terminate them properly.

Do yourself a favor and burn your cash with a lighter as it would be a better use...

We hired Austin Tech to "clean up" the server closet, install ceiling speakers in two rooms, 2 patio speakers, TV speakers for $11400. I think they installed the speakers during the first visit (including 2 extra speakers in the bedroom, which were not part of the order). They started running into problems after the first few visits including "hot weather", which prevented their getting into the attic. We left them with home access for two weeks while we were out of town, when we came back, we found lights on in mult rooms and AC set to 10 degrees lower than I left. The pace slowed down quite a bit...I texted them 2 months after they started the project asking, how much longer, but they did not respond (message was read, though). They finally finished 4 months after they started the project and texted us that they will not charge us extra even though it was more work... As a finishing touch, even though a fluke, they reset the TV to factory settings, which erased my HBO and Showtime accounts (TV was used for business before and I was lucky to keep access to the channels:) Blah, so happy to be done with the project but it was a really unpleasant experience.. Also, just realized that they took our receiver ..... As far as home ownership... assume it is not my house because...

This was the worst experience ever. Wish I could give negative star rating. I hired Mario to install cat 5e throughout our new office facility. We did not receive any of the hardware that we had asked for to include 2 2post racks for communication closet, 2 power polls for cubicles, and 2 TV wall mounts. Over the course of the 3 weeks, that he was provided to finish, he managed to run the cat 5e through the ceiling in our facility and cut the holes for wall plates. That is it. Had to constantly call and ask what is going on and why I was not seeing progress. Was constantly lied to and was told oh we plan to work throughout the night, and oh we are going to be there tomorrow. If you need a TV wall mounted then call these guys. If you need a single Ethernet ran in your house then call these guys. If you need real tech services for a small to medium size business then don't call these guys. They do not have the employees or staff to manage a large size project and will...
