Awful experience. The staff that lives at the park is helpful and polite. The manger is a different story. They have extreme power issue that caused my trailer to almost catch fire as well as fried all my electronics. The park management says it's our issue. Even though her lack to follow thru with one of the three quotes to add another breaker box to supply the appropriate amount of power to the trailers is really the issue... Extremely dirty run down laundry mate, awful mosquitoes, Wi-Fi that cuts you off every three seconds, and absolutely no room for parking. I will not be back. Nor will I ever recommend anyone to stay here. Hopefully Galveston county police will sort out this electrical issue for the rest of the people who will be staying here so no one's trailer goes up in flames. Or worse no ones child electrocutes themselves messing with the 470 volt breaker box that's left open with a fan on it, "to help it cool down." This place is going to end up with a lawsuit for a death.
My family and I travel for work so we have since moved to a new rv park. After three months of pestering the management due to constant power outage, several fridge fulls of food ruined, plus the thousands of dollars worth of damage to our trailer; they finally "repaired" the main breaker box. But unfortunately this did not solve my power issue while trying to run both ac units. Any time I would turn both ac units on a separate breaker that ran the power to my trailer would flip. I had two separate rv techs look my trailer over top to bottom, both assured me this was the parks electrical issue and not my trailers'. So I countined to bring this up to management only to be rudely told that it was my trailer there was nothing they could do. They would not even come flip the breaker any time it went off randomly for what appeared to be no reason. We were still charged monthly for 50 amp service even though they were not providing this service or our electricity would have worked. Since we have moved parks my power in my trailer has worked perfectly, even running both ac units all day. This park is a rip off. If you want to risk having your trailer ruined for poor management and customer service then be blamed for it this is the...
Read moreI called to make a reservation one week in advance, and the manager was on vacation. The substitute manager was also the housekeeper for the cabins. When she realized that she was going to have to come in on her day off in order to clean the cabin for our arrival, she hinted that that would be really inconvenient for her. Only after I threatened to find other accommodations (my husband and I were desperate to find somewhere to stay), was she able to find time to get our cabin ready. We arrived late at night, but the next morning, I was confronted by the overly-medicated lady living next door in the "deluxe" cabin, who only wanted to "get to know me" and "be my new friend." She continued to confront me every time I went outside. We were there for a week, and between her and the drunken men in some of the other cabins who confronted me as well, it got to the point that I felt uncomfortable going outside when my husband was at work. Also, around day 3 or 4 of our stay, we were informed that each cabin was assigned only one parking spot, so one of us would have to park in the "overflow" lot, which was actually a field with no lighting, and my husband left for work before sunrise and returned home after dark. It seemed as though the staff made up rules and regulations whenever they wanted and for whatever reason they wanted. If at all possible, stay somewhere else when visiting the Kemah /...
Read moreIf I could give a half star I would. This place is horrible ESPECIALLY if you have kids. Long story short, a group of drunk women (all but 1 aren't residents) basically tried to attack my 7 yr old. When brought to their attention, they did look at cameras but allowed the drunk non residents to keep coming and keep drinking at this pool. I've got video of this. On top of that they decided themselves to cut our hose connecting water to our place (have a pic of that also). So they allow drunks, people that don't live and pay them have more rights than people that do, they are very shady vandalizing things that do not belong to them. It's been issue after issue, but allowing drunk adults as well as teenagers to attack a baby and then mom (me. Have video) when asking what the problem is, that's when I can't take it anymore. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. Many children have brought to the attention of the office the how uncomfortable the "maintenance lady" makes them because she parks and watches them and takes pictures of them, but they do nothing. The 2 bottom people that work here run the place, they have straight up said if they don't like you they have the power to get you kicked out, and they have before. They do everything against the law which makes it a very scary place to be. We have genuinely been scared for our safety multiple times at that place. Sqve yourselves and...
