Vintage Cutz — Local services in Bakersfield

This place is always friendly, and welcoming. I don't like the Mt. Vernon area, but I make the drive any time I need a cut. You can have a conversation with any barber at Vintage Cuts, unlike other barbershops around Bakersfield whose barbers can only communicate with themselves. They usually have different shows on the TVs, or casual music playing, unlike Herm's, where you are overwhelmed with Drake, and Miley Cyrus music blasting at full volume. They cut my son's hair recently. He is 2 and half years old. I feel like they did a good job as far as the hair cut goes, but I don't like how they gave an attitude when we came in as a "walk-in"... like if they really don't want to accept walk-ins then just don't have a sign saying they are welcome. The guy said "especially on Fridays we are all appointments" like um ok... but your signs and online say otherwise. They just don't seem to like walk-ins. I've taken my son to at least 3 other barber shops and never gotten that type of response...

Top notch! These guys n’ gals will take very good care of you. You might have to wait a lil bit if you don’t have an appointment, but that is a good thing.
