I have been a long time gamestop customer. Most of my experiences had been good while I was shopping in their stores located in southern california. I have been extremely dissappointed with this store's employees. Two of the employees will argue openly with customers, and not in a sarcastic way. They have strong opinions and believe their opinions are more important than the customers needs. I went into the store and was when I tried to purchase an item I was very familiar with, and was shocked when the clerk insulted what I was purchasing. He continually asked me why would I wanna purchase that item with a condesending tone. Keep in mind, I've been a gamestop customer and have sadly spent thousands of dollars on many of their products. When I lived in southern california the game advisors were very helpful, and made it clear they were happy to assist me. The guys at the east bakersfield store don't appear to care what you want. I have watched them be rude to children who are with their parents in the store, and was dissappointed when they told a child to give them a phone number. The child did not have a phone number, and the clerks started insulting him, saying"Don't you have a phone?, wow, who doesn't have a phone." If gamestop continues to hire people like this, I have no doubt that gamestop will struggle. I normally don't write reviews, but the lack of consideration for the customer is glaring, and somebody should say something. I hope they get...
Read moreI had a better experience at the location in Rosedale. I had ordered a PS4 controller and had it delivered to the east side location only because it is closer to where I live. I walked in the store and noticed a worker just sitting behind the counter with full attention on their phone. I walked up hoping to get some eye contact. I assumed he was waiting for me to say something because there was no response and still no eye contact. as soon as I started to ask a question, the gentleman behind the counter immediately cuts me off and ask how he can help me. I had to repeat myself and let him know I was there to pick up my package. he gave a big exhausted sigh and asked for my name. He had came back with a open box with my controller in it and I asked if he wanted me to grab the controller or take the box. he just shakes the box at me and rudly tells me to take the box. I know Gamestop isn't the best of jobs out there, but be grateful for having a job or even the benefit of working inside with AC with this heat! I will NOT be coming back to this...
Read moreEMPLOYEES STASH ITEMS FOR THEMSELVES/FRIENDS. Went in today to find some McFarlane figures and they only had 2 on the floor. I asked an employee if he had any in the back and the Manager butted in and said "no, all we have is on the floor" I asked the employee I asked first, again, and the Manager goes to the back for a second and says again "no we don't have any back here" the employee I talked to goes in the back and comes out with TWO McFarlane figures...he asked the Manager "are these for anyone?" And the Manager says "Well not anymore" sounding annoyed. The employee asked her if he should put them back and the Manager said "no you already brought them out"...like wow the Manager didn't even try to hide their conversation from me! Lol. Terrible. Explains why there's never anything good at this location. Will not be shopping...
