I’m a current member of the acting crew. I started back in 2021 when I first moved to Michigan with my family and I was the new kid who had no friends. Made a ton of friends I still chat with and I am excited to rejoin for my 5th year! The owners and directors are absolutely amazing! I am excited to be back in the crew this year! I’m not giving away my name or my character role but I enjoy what I do and enjoy it a lot! Every year it gets more and more exciting and it’s always evolving! This most recent year it really had a the traditional jumpscare approach and it felt very cinematic combined with the jumpscares! It was very balanced as a guest and an actor! The fan base is great and I encourage more people to come visit and join the scare crew! It is exciting! I love acting actually just as much as going through it! I learned about haunted houses design from the amazing owners and I developed my own home haunt and I got to help build a few things. And I created my own costume with them! What a great place if you are passionate about volunteering, creativity, acting and community! Get ready for next season! It’s exciting from what it looks like so far!!! They did all of the designing and I just helped assemble a couple walls and I also went to transworld one of the best haunted house and Halloween conventions in the world and we bumped into the owners and It has been a family tradition of mine! I hope you guys appreciate the perspective from an actor and a guest!...
Read moreI have been through haunted houses many times, and this was by far the best experience I have ever encountered! They timed it perfectly like a symphony! Just the right amount of light creepiness to begin as you go in, allows you to keep your confidence that it will be entertaining but you know it's just props and actors and not really going to be that scary. The first live person makes you a bit uneasy, but still manageable on the anxiety as you continue on. The intensity increases a bit as you wind your way through the narrow path of corridors until you suddenly realize you have no idea where you are to develop a sense of how or when you will emerge to the exit, and by this time, you are in the thick of it. They had perfectly timed sudden startling noises, great light and fog effects, sounds, the ship horn, and most impressive was the actors never left their character! These actors know how to create some intensity and raise the hair on the back of your neck! I have to say that this was the first haunted experience I have ever ventured into that by a little more than half way through I had the genuine knot of fear in my stomach as I moved forward into dark, unknown areas and actually couldn't wait to get to the end! Fantastic job, guys! Was well worth the visit and wait to get in, I almost want to go again, but have to give my heart a rest before...
Read moreI've gone about 3 times. I live in this city so I see this ship a lot. It is a historical ship that was used in veitnam. You can learn a bunch but it's also extremely creepy. There are supposedly spirits of a man who served in veitnam, a little boy with a dog, and a girl. The people who worked as electricians on the ship told us stories about the spirits that they saw while spending the night on the ship. The last time I was on it I was with my family and we were in one of the lower decks. In a room, there was this display with jackets hanging up and my mom saw one of the sleeves move. I know what you're thinking, "Oh, but it was probably just the wind." Actually.. The sweatshirt was in the middle of the wall surrounded by other jackets. Also, it didn't just move. It flipped. I can't promise that you'll experience anything but it's creepy...
