This is the most popular trail up a Cadillac Mt so expect to share the trail with quite a few people. Overall it was less strenuous than I was expecting based on the distance and elevation gain but there are still a few rock scrambles and a decent grade up a lot of slab sections. When I went up (Early August - 2023) a section of the Trail that appears to be mostly stone steps was closed for repairs The detour was a bit tricky in spots as it cut thru soft soil and narrow wooded paths; however, the park staff did a great job of marking it out and while not my favorite terrain, it was definitely passable. I wasnât sure about trying to go up in the dark in order to get to the summit by sunrise but after this run I think for anyone with some experience and a good headlamp it wouldnât be too bad. If youâre looking for the actual survey marker for the summit itâs off in the middle of no where behind the gift shop. Take the trail that runs along the side of the shop (with the water fountain) and head back until you see it open up to a big slab area on your left and a small higher elevation slap on the right near the tree line, the marker is in that slab on the...
