This is a ginormous property!😳 Huge facility. Even has a lake and apparently several houses for overnight BnB visits.🛌
Obviously a lot of time and money are being invested in this secondary endeavor. 🤑 A brand new functioning distillery with a huge concert arena🎸🎶 and they're building a fancy restaurant🍽️ with an executive chef!👨🍳
The train 🚂 also passes by here and they're building a train station. They already offer a lunch🥪 stop a couple times a year for specialty train events🥳.
Fair warning,⚠️ this is the most expensive tasting I have ever experienced!!😱😬 My mistake for not asking the cost in advance,🫢 but I've never spent more than $18 or $20 for a tasting at any of the distilleries I've visited. And that included a tour! Now that I'm saying that out loud, why would they charge you to tour their facility?🤷🏻♂️ You are already there. You went out of your way to visit them.🚗 There's a really good chance you're going to buy a bottle.
This tasting was $45! 🫣That's about the cost of an entire bottle, which prevented me from buying one.....😥 Even the items in the gift shop are very expensive.🤑 I'm probably not going to spend $28 for a T-shirt 👕 with an iron-on design 😬or $58 for flannel shirt, or even pay for a koozie! 🤷🏻♂️ Weren't those handed out free everywhere? I recently visited a place that was charging $4 for a sticker! Really!?😱
You would think some of these places would get the idea that if you're advertising for them, and if you went out of your way to go there and visit, that the pricing should be better suited 🤷🏻♂️ But on the other hand, people are paying the outrageous prices.... So why...

Our visit to Log Still Distillery was an absolute highlight on our Bourbon Trail journey! From the moment we arrived, the beautifully maintained grounds and peaceful setting made us feel welcome and relaxed.
We were lucky to be part of a small group—just three of us—so the experience felt wonderfully personal, almost like a private VIP tour. Our guide was fantastic: friendly, knowledgeable, and full of passion for the distillery’s young but inspiring story. She walked us through the bourbon-making process and gave us a fantastic tasting, explaining the many layers and flavors in each pour with real expertise.
Although Log Still is a smaller operation, it’s packed with charm and quality. The visitor center is a true architectural gem, shaped like a giant bourbon barrel, with a stylish bar inside and a cozy gift shop upstairs. From the terrace, you can enjoy a stunning view of the surrounding valley and the outdoor stage, where live music plays every weekend. It's the perfect spot to soak up the atmosphere with a drink in hand.
And don’t miss the large event hall up on the hill—ideal for weddings, concerts, or special gatherings. This place has thought of everything and does it all with care, warmth, and style.
Highly recommended to anyone looking for a unique and memorable bourbon experience off the...
Read moreLog Still Distillery is a must visit stop along the bourbon trail. We went for the tasting and were very impressed with the facility, upcoming projects, staff and of course the bourbon and gin. We went home with a couple bottles of each! The dry gin is great; perfect for gin and tonics. Barrel finished Gin was a unique flavor that the more I had, the more I liked. It has a warm, Smokey vanilla flavor that stands great on its own. Bourbon was fantastic! Look forward to other iterations, their Rye and Rattle & Snap.
The tasting was informational, fun and the team were great. We were fortunate enough to spend additional time with Charles. He took the time from his extremely busy schedule to show us around. The future looks amazing at Log Still. The amphitheater, venue, rail access and restaurant will make these a destination for all to enjoy. Stay in the bend and breakfast, catch a show, eat drink and be merry.
Cannot wait to get back, see the growth and enjoy...
