Pleasant Valley Drive-in — Local services in Barkhamsted

They're trying their best and deserve a lot more recognition. Please give this place a chance, it's like a little mom and pop shop kind of place and me and my family enjoyed our time there. The concession stand offers delicious food such as cheeseburgers, nachos, clam boats, fried dough, and more. The radio signal had no static and the audio came out very clear. They even give an announcement over the radio signal when the concession stand is about to close.

In spite of some mishaps on the end of the people they get the movies from, they're incredibly nice and are really, really trying. They told us the state of things at the gate and they even said they wouldn't charge us to go in and watch the rest of the movie they were able to show.

Please give Pleasant Valley Drive-in a shot, it's such a nice little place and the people are very kind.

Five stars for kindness and for an overall...

Not a bad place and only a few left of the kind, but today we went to watch the movie, but it was sold out one hr before the show for SUVs. My 9 yr old was upset and asked me why can't we take a chair and sit without the car. I told her to ask the person on the ticket counter herself. The women working on May 24, 2020, screamed so loudly at us, saying we should be ashamed of ourselves, asking my kids to ask this question. I don't get it! My daughter was asking me, and I asked her to ask herself, and it was a fair question. She almost traumatized my daughter. My daughter cried on the way back, saying that kids are human too. Being polite is not too much to expect. Yelling to a small kid for any reason...

Great ticket price, great scenery, great service but they accept cash only on ticket and concession purchases. Definitely going back again for my next outside drive-in experience. I personally love drive-ins and this really brings back great memories of the fun times I spent at the Starlight Drive-in in Wichita, KS. Great place but make sure you get good parking close to concessions/bathrooms in the middle so you have plenty of room and time to get to concessions and the restrooms. There are barely any lights so stay to the path and take a buddy with you so you won't get lost to the bathrooms/concessions (it was packed when I went to see Incredibles 2 tonight). Have fun and...
