UPDATED: Although a few employees still need not only training on how to speak respectfully and compassionately, but how to service the customers that are literally the reason they have a job, I spoke with the owner and his son and they have rectified the situation. I am very satisfied with the outcome and hope the employees involved learn from the occurrence. I changed my rating from 1 star to 4 stars as I appreciate the efforts of Danny and his son in correcting the discrimination. We have changed our minds about shopping with them and will continue to shop with them in the future.
I have a disability which prevents me from wearing a mask. My disability is medically documented and I have a letter from my doctor stating such. I have done business with Danny and his staff since they opened over in Fort Chaffee before they moved and I have never been treated so poorly as I was Saturday. I walked in the store needing to buy some concealed carry ammo and was rudely greeted by one of the clerks who had waited on me before and knows that I am disabled. He asked me if I wore a mask and giving him the benefit of the doubt of not remembering I stated that I have a disability which prevents me from wearing a mask. He rudely told me that if I did not wear a mask nobody in the store would wait on me. I guess he was more interested in the Kansas City Chiefs according to his mask that he ran off to the back room. I spotted the owner Danny and walked over to him and told him what the man said. All Danny said was OK and I responded back with I guess I’ll just leave then and he responded OK again. The Americans with disabilities act protects me from this type of discrimination. I will not only be filing A complaint against this business that I used to be a very loyal customer of I will also never shop there again! Now, I would rather spend twice as much for any of my guns or ammunition then give that business one penny...
Read moreI recently purchased a rifle scope, rings and ammo from the friendly folks working there. It was my first visit and was pleasantly surprised at the lack of knowitallitis that usually afflicts at least one employee of a gun store. ( I am 68yrs. old and have lived and hunted in a number of places and have been in quite a few gun stores.) But I digress. After mounting the Vortex Diamondback on my 308 BAR, I immediately realized it was not the scope for me. While driving the hour and a half from my Oklahoma home on the two lane roads that span that distance to return said scope, I thought about all the possible excuses I was about to hear for why they couldn't take it back. Upon arrival I was greeted in the parking lot by a masked young man holding a sign that explained that the store was closed for renovations. Sensing my dispair and desperation, the young man agreed to allow me entrance to present my case to the owner. Without exchanging plesentries, due to the construction atmosphere, I said " I really don't like this scope." At which point he said. Get this. " What do you want to do. Get your money back or exchange it for something else !! ) Standing stunned I said ( " Leupold " ) In a flash he was in the store room wading through products that had been moved from the showroom to get to the scopes. After handing me my new replacement I was halfway to the door when he says (" wait. that one is 10 bucks cheaper ! ) After handing me the difference in cash.( Even though I had originally paid with a credit card! ) I was on my way home....
Read moreI wanted to give you some feedback on my experience in your store today. Your guy in the cowboy hat completely blew me off and was no help to me. I went in asking to buy an Sig scope, he looked one time in the glass case and didn’t see one. He never tried to show or negotiate on another scope. He said he could order me one but it wouldn’t come in until the beginning on the year, then walks to the back. I’m thinking he is looking for me, but comes out with another guys gun and walks right by me. Ethan on the other hand came just a couple minutes later while I’m still standing in the same spot and helped me. He went to the older gentleman in the back and finds out you were holding one for another person that never came. He then sets it all up for me and even bore sighted the rifle for me. I don’t know if your cowboy needs a reality check or something but just because I’m a 20 year old doesn’t mean I’m worth nothing and don’t have money to buy high quality products/equipment. His attitude is likely losing you sales and causing bad reviews, as if Ethan hadn’t come by, I would have left and spent my...
