Bought a precision rifle from gun city back in early January, shot the rifle and found several issues that made the rifle unusable. Took the rifle back and they sent it back to smith&wesson to be fixed. Took about a month or so to get back and upon shooting the rifle I quickly realized that not everything was fixed with the rifle, so I took it back to gun city to have it sent back. They sent it back for me the second time and over a month later I received a call where they told me smith&wesson could not fix the rifle and since they did not make that rifle anymore offered to send me a different rifle, or give me my money back. Now up until this point smith&wesson was who I had the problem with, not gun city. I went to get my money back and they would not refund the full amount I paid for the rifle. The gun city employee explained that after a certain amount of time they do not get the tax money back, therefore they would not be giving me the 116 dollars in sales tax I paid on the rifle back. I explained that I didn’t think that was right given that they had been the ones to sell me a gun that didn’t work, and that if smith&wesson was unwilling to give me a full refund that I believe they should. I asked the employee if they would give me store credit for the remaining 116 dollars that I believed I was owed and he offered to “call the boss” to ask. The boss offered to give me the full amount back in store credit but not the remaining 116. All I wanted was the money I basically loaned them for 3 months back for the broken gun they sold me. Apparently that wasn’t something they could...
Read moreI’ve never sold anything to a pawn shop before but I took some items there to sell. They were things I didn’t end up using and were in brand new condition, I didn’t need the money, but it would have helped in getting some items for a side business that will assist local firefighters and I’m trying not to dip into savings too much. I was honest and said that I was there to see what they would offer and that I planned to get an offer from another shop in the area to make sure I get the best deal. The employee apparently got offended that I asked what he would give and said that’s not how they do things. He refused to continue any part of the conversation, much less start any negotiation. He just stared at me like I was some low life for even walking through the door, so I told him to have a good day and left. I’m pretty sure they have entertained multiple offers before selling something.
To the Management and Owners, Maybe you were just having a bad day, but why would you alienate customers who are legitimately trying to do business? I chose your shop first thinking I would be treated fair and had one of the worst costumer service experiences I’ve had in a long time. I don’t leave reviews often, but I’m leaving this one to let others know my real world experience with you and...
Read moreThis place is beyond great. I’ve been coming here for a little over two years and I’ve never had a bad experience. I’ve purchased several firearms, thousands of rounds of ammo, and some other random items. The store has a huge selection of firearms and they are constantly getting new ones in stock. The employees are always very helpful without it coming off as pushy or ingenious. I’ve never once gone in and felt stupid or talked down too for not knowing something. I absolutely will not purchase guns or ammo unless it is from this business. The prices are always fair and everything they have in store is almost always cheaper than big retails stores like Academy and compared to buying stuff online they come out about the same with their products usually being $5-$10 more but that would usually go towards shipping anyways. I 100% recommend this place for anyone looking for a good reliable place to purchase...
