Cook Forest Trading Post — Local services in Barnett Township

there are enough other nice shop owners. This one does not deserve any business. My wife is originally from this area. We have been to this store multiple times under previous ownership. Today I pulled off at their blocked driveway to take a phone call. The owner came out and rudely told me that it is no parking and I must move. There was no allowance and no kindness and no asking. I did communicate that the attitude might not be good for business and she responded that she let me park there long enough in a No parking zone. Technically I was on State property since I was just off the road with the white line on the left side of my tires. I did move but with saddened by the attitude of the proprietor in an area that depends upon its courtesy. There are plenty of other shops that I would encourage other people to visit in the Cook Forest area. This one should be avoided.

Her last statement was that the only reason she asked me to move was because she needed out. The facts are that she could have gotten out behind me and also there is another driveway that she can use as well. She did not have to use this block driveway but she chose it because she was offended that we parked in part of the apron off of 899. Happy new year. Very nice little place for children or adults. It is a great place for families that gives children a toy that is not very expensive. The gentleman was nice and helpful.
