Ever wonder where Aunt Bee shopped in Mayberry? They call it the Coop.
Bigger than a campground market. Smaller than Aldi's. Throw in a one car garage size area of fresh produce. A couple reach in coolers. Even a freezer stocked with a local vendors chicken pot pies and desserts. The hot and cold deli counter is no slouch. Chowder, chili, and soup of the day. There only a small handful of cafe tables scattered around to eat in. A hot or cold sandwich. A fried basket. Homemade picnic salads. I wish I could recall if they sold carryout beer and wine. *2018 Update- the liquor license was sold. They no longer sell beer, wine, liquor. Many people walk in with coolers, and walk out with a picnic at the beach, or on the boat. If you miss the sign, you won't miss the regulars hanging out on the benches out front.

I am there every week, often several times to pick up some groceries or to order one of their delicious homemade meals. They have a well-stocked deli, feature homemade dinners, and have locally crafted and artisanal foods in addition to general staples (milk, eggs, toilet paper, sunscreen, bug repellent, baking supplies, cereal, etc.) and apparel and mugs featuring the Cotuit zipcode and town stamp. They also offer Beanstock Coffee Roasters coffee, Captain Parker's clam chowder and Pain D'Avignon croissants and baked goods.
