Marcus the Magician arrived at our school in Taunton, MA, early in order to set up. He had everything he needed with him and his organization was impressive, considering it included a full curtain set up and live animals! From the moment he greeted the children, he was amazing. The students, ranging in age from 6 to 10 years old, were engaged and mesmerized, their mouths, at times, open in disbelief, as they watched Marcus perform. His act flowed so smoothly, it became a story that transported both the students AND the teachers into a place where our logic was suspended and wonder and magic took over. He consistently interacted with the students and his sense of humor delighted the children and the adults in the audience. Marcus the Magician used the theme, the magic of reading, to explain the importance of reading to the students. He even shared how reading helped him become the magician he is today. Thanks to him, the school library has seen an increase in students wanting to read anything that has to do with magic! I recommend Marcus the Magician as highly as possible. Marcus and Magicompany are truly amazing! They have performed for our annual Kids' Night Out during the past several summers and are always entertaining! Our kids would range in age from 7-11 years old, and everyone had a good time. The magic is special, the juniors are always excited, and the show is very engaging, which would include times of audience participation. Some juniors would sometimes get 'too' excited, but Marcus and crew would not have a problem keeping them in line with the entire audience.
