In good faith I wanted to support the American worker, the quality and craftsmen’s of the products they make are far superior to any other furniture makers. Hubbington Furniture of Barrington, NH advertises USA made furniture. On March 25, 2017 I was shopping at Hubbington for a new bed and night stands, the showroom was attractive and the sales help was attentive but not pushy, after looking at all the displays I settled on a bed. I contacted the saleswoman Elaine Thomas that was helping me and asked for a price on a California King bed and showed her the model I was looking at. I had stated to Elaine Thomas when we first meet at the door that I wanted a California King Platform Bed with the drawers underneath. When I went back to the sales desk another saleswomen named Meredith Tent-Tomassetti asked if I had seen the hidden drawer, which I had not, we walked back to the display and I was very pleased with the concealment and quality of the hidden drawer. The price for the display model was not visible I was later told it was on the top of the bed frame even if I had seen the price I would have relied on Elaine Thomas’ pricing information because I wanted a California King not a Queen size bed which was on display. I was quoted a price for a King size bed and informed they would have to call the manufacture to see if they made a California King and the cost. I was given a picture of the bed with the drawers underneath exactly like the bed in the showroom that I wanted with the price of $1260 even though I talked about clear cherry not rustic cherry (with knots) I was quoted a price for rustic cherry and informed that Hubbington was closed on Sunday and Monday someone would call me Tuesday when the manufacture Paint Valley of Apple Creek Ohio would get back to Hubbington with a price and the option of a California King. Elaine told me that she only worked on Saturday and that it would be another sales person that would contact me. On Wednesday I called Hubbington for the information and to clarify that I wanted clear cherry not rustic cherry, I was told that the price for a California King and a King are the same $1512 in clear cherry and it would take 8-12 weeks for delivery. Delivery and setup would be on Tuesday or Saturday in my area and would cost $89.00. One third of the cost would be expected at the time of order and two thirds at the time of delivery along with the $89 delivery fee, I ask if I could pay by credit card and was informed that each truck was equipped with the ability to do credit card transactions.On Tuesday April 4, 2017 I went to Hubbington furniture to order, a California King Size bed with two night stands I showed the sales representative Karen Day the picture with the drawer assemble and prices I had been quoted for both items Bed $1512 and the night stands $583 a piece. Karen Day told me that the price was wrong it should have been $1590 and I wanted the night stands on display with the cabinet front opening which raised the price to $609 a piece. Meredith was present and remembered showing me the concealed drawer. We also discussed the possibility of having other drawer pulls installed on the nightstands and drawers underneath the bed along with stain colors both Karen Day and Meredith commented on not having knowledge about the exchange of drawer pulls and that this may cost more I was agreeable to this. Karen Day stated that it could cost approximately $2 per pull, I roughly counted the pulls and said $24 to have what I wanted was okay. I provided the sales representative Karen Day with my credit card and assumed that I was entering a contract with Hubbington Furniture when I received a receipt for my deposit I considered it as a binding contract to have a California King Size bed and two nightstands made and delivered to my residence in eight to...

I am so glad I found Hubbingtons! It is just like a beloved furniture store I used to frequent in Massachusetts but that is no longer in business. After trying out furniture outlets in Massachusetts and having a sofa "bargain" fall apart after six years, I looked for a better, non big box store. Hubbingtons definitely fit the bill. Hubbingtons has served me very well with two major purchases - a table for an office and a sofa/chair/ottoman for my living room. My sales people in both the Barrington, NH and North Hampton stores were excellent on both times. They spent much time learning about my needs, styles, and preferences. Each sales person gave honest, frank advice which was very helpful. I never felt rushed or pushed to make a purchase. Delivery in both cases was also excellent. The guys were very careful and methodical. I can not say enough good things about Hubbingtons. I am showing off my new living room furniture on Facebook and proudly telling everyone where I got it. I'm so glad I can come back to Hubbingtons for a coffee table, etc. One final note: Hubbingtons' prices are very reasonable. And the delivery charge to Peabody Ma is only $99....
