Lenwood Discount Market Liquor — Local services in Barstow

I was so pleasantly surprised when I walked into this store, because it seems to be an older retail business and is a bit on the rustic side... or you could maybe say is in need of a lil exterior TLC and in many shopping experiences, the outside condition is a pretty good indicator of what you're going to find on the inside... However that's not the issue here. The staff are courteous, professional and for me, and kind of a biggie....very welcoming to everyone who enters that the store. The store is so so clean and very well organized and is a fairly priced small market.

This was my first time shopping here, I usually go to a different small market, where I have a personal friendship with the store owner...however, my friend was running a little late that morning and I just happened to be in a little bit of a hurry and I couldn't wait to purchase, my much needed caffeine and then jam right out to get the day started. I really liked my shopping experience here and may have to secretly divert some of my business from my friends store, on over to the Lenwood Discount Liquor Market...plus I was extra excited to discover that my brand of cigarettes were just a little bit less expensive and sorta made my day considering how expensive it is to be a smoker with 0% interest in quitting my favorite life-vice...Lol, don't judge me 😄😂😆

So, all-in-all...if being treated like your business here is just as important as anyone but feels like your business is the very reason for the lights are on and walk away with a smile and a little pep-in-your-step, then this should definitely be your future consideration for all your liquor...

So Usually I don't have any issues when I pop in an out of here, but this morning on my way home just before 6 I stopped in for a gallon of milk. When I got home an poured a glass I noticed it was bad granted it didn't smell and wasn't expired yet I assure you it was bad whenixed with chocolate milk mix the white cottage cheese looking little chunks were obvious anyhow I digress... When returning to the store to exchange the 6 dollar gallon of milk the owner gives me attitude suggesting idk what that I bought a gallon of milk that was still in date poured a glass an then went back to the store deal with the hassle to gain 1 glass of milk??? Anyway I had purchased the 2% but since the first one I bought was in date but bad I thought I'd get the whole milk and avoid any further interaction.. he first objected and said I have to take the same kind when I offered to pay the different he charged me 1.99 more so that's how this place treats customers that pay 8 dollars for a gallon of milk smh shop at your own risk and maybe bring a...

I wouldn't recommend purchasing liquor here...

The cashier was very friendly and the store was clean.

We are from out of state and decided to walk over to grab a small bottle of crown. When she told me the price was $54.99, I was shocked! I know Cali is more expensive than TX but the crown was more than doubled the cost I normally pay.

When I asked her why it was so expensive she just started a small conversation about how everything in Cali is getting so expensive. Because I questioned the high cost she said she wouldnt charge me any taxes on the 750ml bottle. I was really hesitant but hey if that's what they are charging for it, I'll pay.

This happened yesterday. Today while shopping in Walmart I noticed they sold alcohol so I decided to check the price. My jaw hit the floor when I saw the same size 750ml for $19.99!

She got me! I'm sure she does this to a lot of out of town people.
