We ordered a headstone through Windles and was promised that it would be set by Memorial Day. I even called back and confirmed after we paid that it would be set by then. We never heard anything back from Windles, and still haven't to this day. Memorial day came and went, and I had to do my own research and find out what company was making the headstone and contact them to get delivery information. At that time I was informed they weren't promising anything by Memorial Day, so I'm not sure why Windles was promising this to customers. Here it is, July 21st and our headstone was finally set today. Thanks for the false promises.
*Editing to add that when the company went to set the stone yesterday Windles never even gave them the location so they were calling us to find out where it was. And also, no you did not "communicate" with us shortly after, we NEVER heard from you. If you had communicated with me BEFORE Memorial Day, I would not of had to track down the company making the headstone AFTER Memorial Day to find out what...
Read moreWindle's Rock and Gem Shop is the my favorite place to shop for anything to do with a rock. Their gems & stones are high quality, plus the craftsmanship is outstanding.
Windle's will do all kinds of custom pieces, too. I enjoy stopping by just to see what is new, especially as my summer b-day approaches. I found a lovely faceted tourmaline stone necklace when I walked in last week.
I grew up in this area and remember when Windle's Rock Shop was just in the Windle's garage. It was fascinating. My Dad worked at the Bureau of Mines Research Ctr then and sometimes had some project with a rock he was working on that he would bring to Mr. Windle. ... I think he brought my brother's cub scouts here too. I loved coming with him just to see all the rocks and hear about them. There was a rock tumbler sitting on one of the tables in the shop which was great to watch in action.

Read moreBecause of reading all of the positive reviews I brought in a ring to have it appraised. The lady told me my diamond was not what I had been told it was and told me my diamonds were chipped and it was basically just worth the price of the metal. She told me not to sell it for less than $1,500. Because I had a detailed appraisal value done years ago I knew she was either bluffing or did not know what she was talking about. I took my ring back to Tulsa, to the appraiser who does all of Moody's jewelry in Tulsa. The diamonds are not chipped, the large diamond is an old mine diamond like I told her it was, and she emphatically told me I didn't know what I was talking about. The ring appraised for over $15k. If you have nice, antique pieces take them to the appraiser that Moody's uses. They are...
