Took my 2010 Camaro to have it looked at and possibly a new motor put in. Itâs now been little over a month, and they still have not fully diagnosed whatâs wrong with it. It sits in the same spot they originally parked it in. When lending me vehicles, the dealership told me that Iâm putting to many miles on them to quickly, yet they have not even looked at my vehicle or started to work on it... so after 2 loaners I was no longer able to use one Update. It is now April 30th, my car has been at the dealership since the beginning of January. I had authorized a motor tear down 3 times, which never happened. Instead, they suggested that I purchase a new motor without knowing what was wrong with the one in it. So, I did, $5000 later they said it would take 5 days to ship and 3 to install the motor... well we are at the almost 3-week mark since the motor arrived at the location, and after being told that today I would finally get my vehicle, I get told that it will once again be pushed back to the middle of next week... I no longer have a loaner vehicle because the mileage I put on them was an issue, however if I had my own vehicle, they need not to worry about the mileage.
Update... complete May 11th I received a video of my car running and sounding beautiful a day before I picked it up. It was kept overnight to ensure that it held fluids after being test drove. They did have a certified GM mechanic remove, install, rebuild, and test drive my vehicle. To whom mentioned on the notes on my receipt that my timing chain was scratched (among other things) and engine was full of sludge. It's now May 19th and I have never heard, felt, or been in something that runs as smoothly as my Camaro now does. My car did have a remanufactured motor installed and after about 6 months of wait I can say that my car runs as if I just bought it brand new. However, my review still stands for more than 1 reason. The 1st being the lack of communication between everyone who was involved at the dealership and myself. I donât think it was a customer care issue as much as an annoyed that the customer keeps bother us issue. And 2, although the woman who I did talk to finally (in late April) I credit for being the sole purpose as to why my vehicle got done as fast as it did, she did become a really rude with me at the end of the process. At 1st she was willing to be of service, then I decided to write a review so others would know the struggle and issues in case they were looking for the same serves. She called me and asked me to remove both my Facebook review and my Google review. I removed my Facebook review (which im putting back up) and was going to remove Google once I got my vehicle back. However, the dealership did not help me at all during the whole vehicle process, they made me pay FULL PRICE, made me wait 6 months to have a working vehicle, and never really communicated anything with me, leaving me extremely frustrated by the end. Why should I help their business and reviews when they NOT ONCE helped me? And that after insuring me that if I didn't get my vehicle by the 1st Friday of May that they would "take care of me." And itâs unfair to the individuals who might end up in the same situation as me, who can't afford or are unable to have a vehicle for as long as I had to be. Update May 30th, My camaro started to act the same way it had in the beginning when I took it to be worked on. However, I'm taking it to a different place to have it looked at in the hopes that it's a easy fix. As of right now, I'm back to where I was only a few weeks ago. I'm car less with no idea as to what's going on...
Read moreThis will be an overall experience review. Not just the Salesman David Howell that I worked with.
Found this beautiful â21 Silverado RST with very low mileage on auto-trader. Reached out to see if it was still available. David Howell responded quickly to let me know that the truck was still there. We discussed a few things on price, out the door cost, etc. I also asked if there was any type of damages to this vehicle and I was told that there wasnât. I asked for videos and David Howell was happy to provide. I let him know I lived in Missouri and I wanted the vehicle so Iâd be coming to get it that Saturday on the 20th. I got preapproved and told what my payments and interest rate would be. Everything was pretty much smooth and a lack in complications at this time.
Here is where I will list my pros and cons of my overall experience.
Pros: -Was willing to work on the price somewhat. -My truck was pulled to the front lot and waiting for me to arrive. -The truck was very clean and smelled great. -The Salesman David Howell was very cheerful, positive, and helpful. -The manager came over to introduce himself and thanked me for being a customer. -The paperwork process was easy. -David was willing to answer any questions I had, and was willing to help when asked if he would put a front license bracket on if there wasnât one. He also put the tag on the truck when asked.
Cons: -On my drive to get this vehicle I was called by the manager and told my payments were going up and the interest rate was too. This was after already having discussed it through emails. -When I had previously asked if there were any damages to the vehicle I was told no. When arriving and inspecting the vehicle one of the sides of my racing stripes was ripped and peeling off. When asked to be fixed David said to just take it to Chevy. There was also a small blemish/scrape in the leather on the drivers side, and some discoloration to the center console. Now, these can all be so easily overlooked and arenât a big deal. My issue is there was no honesty about it when asked about damages. -The salesman David left several times to go talk to other customers when I was wanting to get the paperwork done and leave asap because of the trip back and having to be at work on time. -Gas was not filled up and I was left with 30 miles to empty. I get why they keep the gas low when itâs sitting on the lot waiting to be bought. But, I bought the truck and every dealership Iâve ever been to buy a vehicle or with someone buying a vehicle the gas was always filled. -There was no windshield wiper fluid in it. The indicator on the dash started popping up so I checked it and it was empty. -I managed to get the price of the vehicle down to 48k flat and was told that it would be that for out the door cost. It was NOT 48k flat for out the door cost, it was more which irritated me.
My overall experience was okay. It wasnât horrible. I think they need to work on a few things, but they do have their strengths as well. Iâd be willing to work with them again if what was mentioned in the cons above are...
Read moreWe attempted to buy a vehicle there but could not come to.an agreement on a price. That's completely understandable depending on what they had in on the car maybe they could not. I accept that as reasonable but let me share more about the.experience with you. First part of the experience that rubbed me wrong was when we went back a second time to look at the vehicle we had an appointment. Our salesperson came out and said."Oh the keys are.checked out to so.and so, he must be showing it". Low and behold, 'so and so' comes walking right towards us. He says he has someone coming to look at it and they are very interested. Right off the bat they are.scheming on me and my guard goes up. We get back from test drive and the sales manager.meets us in the parking lot in his golf cart. He rants and raves over the car and the fact that it is a gdi motor. I ask him about it the details about it and he knows nothing. I shared with him my.concern with the color of the oil, it was black as tar. He.swears they changed the.oil in it and he knows the previous owner changed the.oil every 3000 because the warranty offered by Hyundai. In no way does that satisfy my concern for the dark black oil that was supposedly just changed. Me not accepting his poor objection to my concern changed his.attitude. He got defensive and snarky. So we go in to make an offer. Of course we start low hoping to.get to a reasonable number. He came down 400$ and when I said that's wasn't going to work he went to his manager. He came back with a a sheet of paper with comparable cars in the state to prove he was the lowest. It's true. It was the lowest but it had far more many miles on it than the rest and I was still concerned.with the previous care of the vehicle. Also when he came back he said he couldn't sell it for any less than they were asking. So after they came down 400, they went back up to full price. Any point the snarky sales manager made I had a valid, reasonable objection too. I'm no idiot and I do my research. My wife really wanted this car but I didn't like the games, the attitude, and the all around experience. We went to Ferguson in Broken Arrow the next day and had a wonderful experience. Got a loaded car with 35k less miles, for less money and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. No.gimmicks, no lies, reasonable and respectful. We continued to get texts and phone calls from them several days after we told them we bought another car. Just look at the smart elect response from the owner on Melissa Daniels review. That alone should turn you away from this place. Good luck. If you want respectful treatment and a fair deal go...
