A while back if someone would have brought up Crossfit around me I would of had a few choice words for them and walked away. Now after being submerged in Crossfit for around 2 months I might be one of the biggest advocates for it! As a former college athlete I had yet to find a workout program that would keep me motivated outside of the first few weeks. Most of the time it had to do with dealing with everyone at the gym who would get in the way while trying to workout. But, the biggest factor was never being able to find that sense of community and motivation that I had with my fellow teammates over the years. However, after week 1 at Cobra Command, I could tell there was something different about this type gym. The perception that Crossfit gyms have is 100% incorrect, especially around form college athletes and adults. Members are not going there just to get better at working out. Most of of the people go there for the same reason anyone would join a standard gym, "I want to lose weight" or "I want to put on some muscle". However, unlike a standard gym who holds you accountable for nothing but paying your monthly membership dues after you sign up, Cobra Command has a whole community who holds you accountable each and every day. No matter if it is checking to see why you missed a workout, pushing you thru your last few reps, or motivating you to reach your next goal, someone has an eye out for you. Yes, Crossfit may cost a bit more than a standard gym, but you get so much more out of it. Everyday there is a scripted 60 minute workout and dedicated coach who is going to help get you through it, providing technique tips and motivation to keep you going when you get tired. In all the years of working out I have never been through a 60 minute workouts that incorporate strength, mobility, and cardio all in one where my body was exhausted at the end. Typically it is lift, then hit cardio and before you know it the workouts turn into 2-3hours. Everyone's biggest excuse for not working out is because they don't have time. Well yes, 2-3hours is hard to carve out of your day, but everyone one can find 60 minutes each day to keep the mind and body right. At first, yes it is a struggle and your body is going to hurt, but results start to come quickly and you will be hooked, just like me! I can honestly say that I have not looked or felt this great in over 5 years since my last college football season. Prior to starting at Cobra Command, getting out of bed was a struggle every morning and now I get up earlier well rested and feel way better all day long with no afternoon cash at work. So, if you can't tell by now I would highly recommend Crossfit, especially Cobra Command, to anyone looking for a quick strength, mobility, and cardio workout all in one. The best part about it is that your ability level does not matter. Everyone is welcome and every workout can be scaled accordingly for your comfort level. No one is ever forced to do more than they can handle, nor do you ever feel like you have to. Trust me, it was an eye opening experience for myself and I have finally started building myself back up thanks to Cobra Command and you can too! Get signed up today and come join our community. We will help get your fitness level where...
Read moreI joined this CrossFit gym nearly 6 years ago, and it's been an incredible experience. The ownership solicits feedback from its members to make every service they offer meet the needs of their members. The atmosphere is genuinely welcoming, inclusive, and diverse (age, race, backgrounds, beliefs, skill-levels, etc.). The coaches tailor workouts to accommodate various skill levels, ensuring everyone feels challenged yet supported. Personal coaching is a standout feature. Whether in a one-on-one session or a group class, the trainers take the time to understand your goals and provide personalized guidance. The fun environment makes every session enjoyable, and what sets this gym apart is its commitment to meeting you where you're at in your fitness journey. I make sustainable growth every year, and I attribute that to the fitness framework this gym provides every day. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a supportive and dynamic...
Read moreThis is a long overdue review. I was a member of C3 from 2016-2019. Before joining I was the heaviest I have ever been. After playing collegiate sports I was never able to commit to a workout/exercise program. I spent 5 years doing this. My weight and the desire to challenge myself eventually lead me to C3. Walking into the gym for the first time was overwhelming but after the first WOD I knew this was something I would enjoy doing. Losing weight and gaining muscle was a great benefit, but I believe the confidence gained was the biggest from training at C3. The coaches at C3 are all knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what they do. They care about everyone's progress and help adjust the intensity of workout based on your skillset. I would highly recommend giving C3 a try if you are looking a program that can rapidly change your body composition (if you are willing to put in the work) and give you confidence you might not have...
