The Flower Bar Design — Local services in Basehor

Wanted to shop local and support a small business. Bought a Chiefs off brand t-shirt (a little pricey). Got home and did not fit well. Took back this am & was told due to Covid & “health department rules”, I was not allowed to exchange or return. The lady advised that all apparel is final & it’s posted in the store and on the merchandise tag. She had to show me the posted sign referring to all sales final. It was hidden between two racks of clothing. I looked at the merchandise tag & it does appear on back of tag. The print is extremely small & if you don’t have 20/20 vision, you won’t see it. Not many people look on the back of tags, & if they do, they are looking for the price, which is much larger print. To top it off, the owners/associates don’t wear masks to help prevent the spread of COVID!!! Seems they have a doubt standard. It would make since for the business to let customers know at checkout that all sales are final or have large sign at checkout. It’s called “good customer service”. I will not recommend or support this business...

I ordered a flower cake for my mom, and because they had to create it from scratch (not a batch process like other florists), they texted me personally to be sure I was completely satisfied with their creation before they left the shop with it. Not only was it absolutely beautiful, I got another text when they attempted to deliver. We were able to chat about leaving it at her door, which never happens with other florists (they usually just put it on the porch and walk away, even if that means the flowers wilt and shrivel). I came here for the very first time about a month ago while I was out running errands with my grandma who lives in Basehor and I was very disappointed about how expensive everything was, the prices were RIDICULOUSLY HIGH. Another thing that really bothered me was that there were about 15-20 people inside at the time crowded into a small space and the owner/cashier (blonde lady) had NO MASK ON! She was walking around the store with no mask or face shield taking to people and even worked at the register ringing people up with no mask on.
