Drove up the the tiny registration office in the owners beautiful 2 story home on the property. They were extremely gracious and have a beautiful RV/Mobile home park. Huge pond with ducks and a pasture full of cute mini donkeys and a llama. What impressed me the most were the beautiful trees. It's a very lovely park and I highly recommend it if you like scenic parks. Also, it's only a couple of miles to WalMart and lots of other shops and restaurants up and down Hwy 71. Used to love the place. New owners... Higher rent... Less services. Very few amenities, laundry room and shower house. Laundry room usually has half of the equipment not working. Shower house hasn't been properly cleaned in SEVERAL months! What a shame! The old caretaker passed away, and apparently we're not paying the new caretaker enough ( or perhaps too much!). We are looking for another place. It was a place of long term full timers. It's becoming a place for migrant workers. No offense to them! I've been there. Ms Barb took great care of us! This is a nice, quiet park, with easy access to whatever ameneties you want. Bastrop is right there for all your needs. We came in Thursday for the INDYCar Race at Circuit of the Americas, and stayed thru Monday. Bastrop RV Park is about a 20 to 25 minute drive from COTA, which is about perfect to me. Close enough to enjoy it, but far enough from the craziness of the track. We're planning to go again next year, and we will stay here if...
