Lewis True Value Mercantile — Local services in Bayfield

Went here for a work purchase, I work for a tax exempt agency. When they pulled up the account the only person on the account was a long retired employee, they said I cannot purchase anything until I’m added to the account. I asked how I could do that, was sent to the back to contractor sales. When I explained my situation, I was told my supervisor needed to add me to the account… I am the supervisor. I explained this, and the “large employee behind the desk” was less than enthusiastic to assist. Begrudgingly I was given the paperwork to fill out, but it was an unfriendly experience, and lacked the customer service the other reviews seem to rave about. My crew tries to support local businesses whenever possible, but maybe we should just prioritize Home Depot. Not the “friendly local store”...
