Dollar General — Local services in Bear Lake Township

Was at this store with my girlfriend today. While she was shopping I purchased a bag of pumpkin seeds and ate them while walking around the store. After about 20 minutes I purchased a few beverages and went out to wait in the car. Shortly after, my girlfriend comes to the car and tells me they called a,state trooper because they thought I didn't pay for the seeds and were standing in a group at the front door talking about it in front of other customers. They told my girlfriend, without knowing we were together, that I am not on their video making the purchase. Luckily my girlfriend heard them talking and came out to get me. Not one person asked me a thing before I left the store, and worse, they did not ask the lone cashier if the purchase was made before calling the police or accusing me in front of other customers. When I walked back inside just before the state trooper arrived, they finally did what should have been done in the first place, pull the register receipt. When they realized they made a mistake all they did was make jokes to the trooper. No apology offered until my girlfriend refused to leave until an apology was made. The only two times I’ve been in here the first it was dirty and I had to wait several minutes while the cashier got change. So after seeing it’s remodeled I tried again. It is cleaner however to clean the fooors they literally wheel the carts out to the parking lot and when I say carts I mean they have more on the carts than on any of the shelves. Literally shelves are empty and the items are on stock carts. I then took my one item to the checkout and was advised the til was not setup and I’d have to wait a “fee” after 10 minutes I left my item at the cash register and walked out choosing to go to another one 5 miles away. If I could give this store no stars I would it's absolutely ridiculous when I come into the store to get multiple things but can't get to anything because there is way to many carts in the way packed with stuff then when I try to move things to get to what I need to I trip over a box of toilet paper this store is super unsafe and unprofessional honestly looks like a hole in the wall surprised it is still a functioning place the people of bear lake need a dollar store but not one like this I walked right out after I tripped and didn't purchase nothing they don't show they care enough for there customers safety and needs so why spend money and support...
