I rarely post on things like this but will this time as this course has so much potential and is under relatively new ownership that is clearly investing in making improvements. First the positive. This track of land is beautiful! It has heather, mature trees, streams and ponds and is rolling. The fairways are wide and well maintained and the greens are enormous, complex and has interesting new bunkers. It is fairly priced unlike many in the many. Negatives include poor cart paths and very confusing markers for the various tees. The scorecard is nearly useless as the distances aren’t at all accurate and sometimes not even close. Overall, this is an up and comer with nice people and an owner who seems to be investing. I will be back, hopefully with updates and accurately...

You can feel the influence from courses like Crystal Downs, Kingsley Club, Arcadia Bluffs, the Loop at Forest Dunes as you discover each hole. It feels like classic golf architecture built just a few years ago by the Superintendent Steven Biehl. Every green, tee, bunker and fairway built by hand by one person with a fantastic vision. Can't wait to get back, this is how...
Read moreI played here in late August as part of a mid Michigan golf extravaganza. Over three days I played 6 or 7 courses in the Ludington / Manistee area. Although there isn't a warm up facility, they do have a great price for a phenomenal course. It's a lot like a a course I play every year in my rota called Diamond Springs (also highly rated) only much, much better. Lots of challenging holes and some elevation changes, fairways and greens were in great shape. I highly recommend WRGP and hope to play...
