UPDATE - changed from 1 to 4 stars. For the record, I am undecided on whether I would use them again, but admired the fact that the manager personally called me to discuss.
Manager called me very frustrated with the original review of one star. We spoke about the below issue for awhile. While I still don't necessarily agree with the perspective of the manager or the business policy, they do warrant services for 30 days - something I wasn't entirely aware of. I believe that there should have been a pro-rated invoice for the follow-up visit, which I discussed with the manager. He offered to adjust the invoice, but that was unnecessary, as I think it is fair to oblige with their warranty policy.
Original Post Below:
Used Beavercreek Appliance on two separate occasions for the same issue. The first time they fixed the problem and were excellent to work with. My oven experienced the same issue 3 months later, warranting a follow up call as we had paid Beavercreek Appliance for this issue to be resolved. We assumed it would be “covered” under our first repair unless additional parts were needed (which there were not). They sent a technician who moved some plugs around (10 mins tops) and charged us $213.50 even though it was for the problem they previously “fixed”.
For the record, the technicians are knowledgeable and great to work with. Not sure who made this decision to invoice us for the second visit, but it seemed very...
Read moreExperience was not good. Company sent a repairman out to fix my built in microwave. He fixed it and charged me approximately $160. The next day the built in microwave stopped working, as well as the built in oven below it stopped working. The owner gave my wife a very difficult time on the phone and said he could not send someone out for a week to look at it because the repairman went on vacation. So we were expected to live without a microwave or oven for a week. I called Logan Appliance and they came out the next day. All they did was turn the circuit breaker off and then back on. Both the microwave and oven now work, six days earlier than waiting for Beavercreek Appliance. It cost me $82 to learn that lesson of resetting the breaker even if it shows it is on. Instead of giving us a hard time, it would have been nice if the owner of Beavercreek Appliances could have suggested doing this or asked one of his repairman for any suggestions. I recommend you not do business with Beavercreek Appliance. Logan Appliance was significantly...
Read moreWe contacted Beavercreek appliance for a washing machine repair. It was a two week wait to get a repairman out to look at it. Ok, I understand they are busy. The repairman performed minimal diagnostics as the control panel appears to have gone bad. That is a part that has to be ordered but no guarantee it would solve the problem as diagnostics could not be further done. We decided to order the part with a 7-10 day estimate. Mind you I called back shortly after this to inquire about expediting this in any way because being without a washer stinks in more ways than one. Two weeks later, we called back as we still had not heard anything. Turns out the part went on back order for another month. They have "no policy" to update on this and therefore didn't. We canceled the order. We were still charged for over a $200 diagnostic fee for the minimal diagnostics that were performed. Poor customer service, poor value, poor...
