For Walmart DC's this place is pretty bad. You cannot show up more than 1 hr prior to delivery. If you are 1 hr 2 min early - they will tell you to pack sand. If you are 5 min late you get a reschedule - usually 24-36 hr later. This is an old DC so the lighting around the docks is poor. In the winter the far end from the gate is where they pile up the snow and park (haphazardly) the facilities trucks - the reefer docks are at that end as well, so you can probably guess that it's a royal pain in the a$$ to get into one of the reefer docks. They have been doing endless construction on something as well; probably making the massive axle breaker potholes bigger, deeper, and better concealed. Guess where they dump all the construction junk? At the end where the reefer receiving docks are. They have had the receiving office in a temp trailer - so they are even easier (not) to deal with. Just past the gate on the left side as you are leaving is a kind of drive way at a fence that is off Walmart property. The farmer who owns that property has been getting pissed at drivers who park there. Don't be surprised if you are told to leave immediately for trespassing. There is no where else around this place to park and rest within 15 miles. The PA State Police and the local cops love to sit at the stoplight and hand out tickets to drivers who roll thru a yellow/red, and drivers who think it's legal to park on the side of the road or...
Read moreWas there last week a load switch reason was that our 1st driver was late 2 hours and they refused and then we got appointment after 3 days . Very slow service 3/4 hours for offloading if you arrive intime. The second thing i saw when i was in the office they tell to 99% of people that one box is missing in the shipment and they note it on the ppw , I was surprised to see same thing on 9 out of 10 clients who were before me i heard it bcs i was waiting in the reciever office . They have 2 windows and the man with full of tatoos is not helpful he do not see you and treat you like you are nothing , he was sitting in front of me i was waiting that he will finish n recieve me n waited around 10 minutes finally i said excuse me you dont see me ? He replied immediately without knowing y door ppw is not ready, how he knows i even didn't tell my door number to him so i felt that he ignore people and shows that he is very busy but i don't understand why he don't say hello or something to recieve and then ask to wait .
Hope company will look into these maters and improve client services. And very important thing for international drivers there should be a parking area and if they arrive late appointment should be rescheduled for same day .I will give 3 stars only bcs appointment rescheduling lady in the morning shift was very kind...
Read moreTook four hours to unload but I had 45 pallets of frozen dinners. There appears to be something like parking outside the gate by the light. Very hostile little parking place. People will block you in trying to park there and create traffic mess. No bathrooms. I wouldn't and didn't. It's 5 or 6 spots but 15 "creatively" park at night. That means in front of the parked vehicles. The biggest issues here for me were that the women's restroom is by key only and when I went upstairs a man was lounging without a mask next to the open men's room. Super classy, East Coast style. Common east coast barbaric practice. Also I never appreciate drivers (even yard drivers) backing at me working on the side of my trailer. You should wait. All the scars on the sides of my trailer tell me so. WAIT UNTIL I MOVE. I DON'T JUST SCAR, I DIE. It's so unsafe. Please don't ever do...
