Visited "The playroom" today and was extremely disappointed. Be under no illusion that this is a sub par experience. The entire set up is dated and honestly doesn't feel like it's even from this century. One would think there would be a storage location for valuables but this is not the case, we had a diaper bag which contained our keys and supplies and for the duration of our visit was left unattended out of view from the staff working which naturally had us feeling uncomfortable.
The actual play area is underwhelming and pretty unfurnished. A lot of the toys are old and dated, you would probably expect there to be some sort of modern toys available but honestly the only things here are a tiny "ballpit"and a rocking horse.
My biggest issue with this place is that kids can freely open the main door into the play area which is a hazard. My son of 13 months was almost hit in the head by the door being used by another child and this seriously presents a hazard - the door was left cracked and this opens up the possibility of kids wandering off (people aren't actively watching their kids)
Do yourself a favor and save your $10 You have a better set up at...
Read moreI am posting here, after my post was deleted and I was blocked from the Playroom Facebook page. The playroom tagged me in an event, as my daughter and I frequently supported the Playroom in the past. However, about two months ago, my daughter requested a refund for two classes. She is relocating and can provide the proper documentation for her relocation. Over 90 days notice was provided for one class and over 60 for the other. She was advised no refund would be given for either class. There was more than ample time to fill the vacancy(s). No refund policy was provided in the website. When that fact was brought to the owners attention, her response was, âthere will be one nowâ, and indeed, there is. Very disappointing handling of an easily rectifiable situation. Also very disappointing that rather than respond to the post, they block a customer and delete the post. Be wary when booking classes. Life happens, sometimes people need to cancel. With proper notice, this should not be an issue. Obviously, relocation was not grounds, What if there were a deployment, illness, injury, or God forbid a death in the family. As I said,...
Read moreThis place is very overrated and I think itâs only so highly rated because this is really the only kind of âplay placeâ in the area. The play âroomâ has no windows, which I didnt expect, unbeknownst to me, theyâve changed their set up as pictures showed a more vibrant room with windows. It has outdated toys, exercise balls in the âball pitâ and outdated carpet which looked to be from the 90s. We came on a day that they stated on their facebook they were giving away little caesarâs free pizza coupons. The coupon was not for a free pizza, it was for a free crazy bread and the coupon was expired but the woman that gave it to us stated they would still accept it. I also donât know how often things get disinfected as the whole time we were there I saw no one come in and spray/wipe down which I see regularly happen at the indoor playgrounds we normally go to. Additionally, after leaving here my daughter caught a stomach bug (what we think is norovirus) which she then passed to her dad and I. This has never happened to us. I would never return here. Just make the further drive to more fun, cleaner, newer...
