Wichita Hoops — Local services in Bel Aire

Wichita Hoops is great for hosting tournaments with it's many courts for basketball or volleyball. There are issues though. The only open women's bathroom today was a wreck! The first time I had to use it, one sink was running nonstop and couldn't be turn3d off, there were no papertowels, and several stalls lacked toilet paper. The second time I was in there today, someone had torn all the soap dispensers off the walls. And both times, a. Leaning could have e happened for sure! We were only allowed to use the back half of the facility today and 1 of the courts (I believe it's #11) doesn't have a working scoreboard. They are using a box scoreboard for the table that is inadequate for coaching. There is zero cell phone service inside of the building. The WiFi is inadequate to handle the traffic. The concession stand is egregious overpriced. One expects high prices but, for example, a small bottle of Gatorade is $4. A single.slice of pizza is $5. Bring your own food...

Due to their wi-fi and cell reception issues I cannot go to my child's tournaments held at this location when I am on call. Paid $20 to have wi-fi for the day and it doesn't even work! Their Network is overloaded and zero cell reception without the wi-fi.

Parking is beyond horrible, no where close to enough room. Bathrooms do not get cleaned or replenished with soap or paper products throughout the day. When we asked the OneVA director (who was hosting a tournament here) about it she stated it was the facilities job to handle the bathrooms and there was nothing she could do about it.

Overall a horribly planned out sports complex. Tournaments should stop being hosted here and turn it into practice gyms only as they are obviously not able to accommodate the amount of people and teams...

I really don’t understand why this venue can’t hire someone to maintain the bathrooms during tournaments. The weekend admissions fee is usually between $25-$30 per person so I think they can probably afford it. The women’s bathroom is disgusting. Every time I’ve been there have been no soap dispensers on the walls. Just one that is often empty sitting on the counter. Buy a couple of soap pumps to sit on the counter, or better yet, replace the soap dispensers. If there is toilet paper it is not in the dispenser but just sitting on top or even on the floor. How hard is it to change this out? You really should be embarrassed that this venue is a reflection on Wichita. Hire maintenance for...
