Oldenburg Brewing Company is such a classy place! The atmosphere is contemporary and nothing like anything else you find in Belle Plaine. The craft beers are excellent and taste like they have been perfected for years. Be sure to even try their current dark beer -- you wouldn't even think you're drinking a dark beer because it tastes so smooth. There is a great variety of specialty drinks as well as neat options for non-alcoholic drinks. OBC even offers a menu with exceptional food including multiple options for flatbread pizzas, street tacos, and a Bavarian pretzel. The staff is great and they can help match your brew tastes.
This is a laid-back brew pub that is much welcomed in Belle Plaine. I was also there on opening night and I agree with a previous poster that patience is key. Everything will be worked out as they begin their journey. It is also important to note that OBC is a brew pub -- I've never walked into a brewery before to sit down and wait to be served. You want a drink? Head up to the bar and they will get you one!
You won't be disappointed! I am looking forward to trying more of their...

We went opening night and it was a packed, fun environment. Decor was great and the food looked good, but we had already eaten.
My wife got a super-smooth Old Fashioned that was well-presented with a cherry and a hint of smoke. I had the American Pale Ale, which hinted with citrus and a nice amber appearance. Flavors abounded in both drinks. The Bourbon Vanilla drink that they served a fellow guest is on my short-list of things I need to try. They looked very pleased with their choice.
Now, service might have been a little backed up (as one other reviewer noted) , but it was opening night, stuff happens. I fully expect that service will be top notch as they get the ball rolling. A little patience goes a long way, no sense in getting stressed out about it. The whole point of a place like this is to have fun. Besides, the quality of the drinks were well worth the wait.
We're looking forward to...
Read moreWe went here for our first time tonight. The interior was very well done, and inviting. Service was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. We had tried the flat bread pizza and tacos. The sauce on the pizza was fresh and bright tasting, and nice amount of cheese. The tacos we had chicken and again fresh ingredients and the meat was so tender and flavorful. We also had a big Bavarian pretzel with queso which was also very good. Texture was spot on for a Bavarian pretzel. Next the beers. We loved that we could order small glasses to allow for us to taste several beers. We enjoyed them all. We wrapped up dinner by sharing a root beer float! Perfect way to end the meal. After chatting with the owner for awhile we can see great things are in store for this establishment. We look forward to returning soon with...
