I typically love coming here for their chicken noodle soup, but today was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in a restaurant. I understand they may have been a little more busy than usual due to it being city wides, but some of their mistakes were inexcusable.
First, we had walked in for lunch around 11:40 & I ordered my soup. It is listed on their menu, yet they said they weren’t making it today so I ordered chicken wings instead. AFTER paying he decided to let us know that it would be a 20-30 minute wait for 2 strawberry smoothies, a BLT sandwich and 6 wings... I already paid so I decided fine, we will wait. About ten minutes passed before we got the smoothies. Another ten-fifteen minutes passed and my grandma got the BLT, he asked if we needed anything else & I assumed he would be bringing my stuff out next so I didn’t say anything... nope. He came back out roughly five minutes later to let me know that they had forgotten to turn on their fryer and it would be at least ANOTHER fifteen minutes before my wings were ready... he knew I was frustrated at this point & offered to send it home for me in a box!! In the time that I waited for my food my grandma had been done with her meal already for about ten minutes. I thought for sure he’d do something to compensate for these issues but he took off almost instantly after dropping off my wings. It was extremely frustrating & a huge let down. It’s sad, but this experience ruined this place for me & I won’t be returning.
I forgot to add, after we had ordered (10-15 minutes) a young couple had come in & ordered donuts, a smoothie & their meals. They had received everything and left long before I received my food. All in all, we were there for 50 minutes waiting for...
Read more$7.99 chicken wings. I give the whole establishment five stars because it’s so freakin cute & quaint. Service is wonderful & the ambiance is adorable. I only give the wings two stars because they’re not seasoned or marinated in anything, so a little too plain for me. Not pictured is the Vietnamese iced coffee & the absolutely delicious cronut the owner gave us. Those get five stars. I think it’s funny (not in a bad way, that a Vietnamese restaurant plays country music, but I suppose that’s to cater to the folks in town (to be frank, the white folks), but it’s cute & comical that way, that we are probably a handful of Asians in...
Read moreWe just moved to the area, and decided to get some late morning donuts. This place always looks so cute, we had to check it out. I won’t lie, it looked cute, and the menu looks awesome. The rest of our experience kind of sucked. We waited for nearly a half hour before finally being asked what we wanted, which isn’t that big of a deal, but after getting home, we found that the chocolate old fashioned donut we ordered was rock hard, and tasted stale/oily. While we were incredibly disappointed with our experience today, we’re hoping it was just a bad day for whoever was working, and not a reflection of...
