Update 4!!! WTH! So I'm just going to suggest you run away from any Camping World location. Do not buy anything from Heartland manufacturing! As they are fixing my camper for the second time and had to fix the bathroom floor they forgot the screws that secure the toilet in the bathroom sink that fell inside the drain. I know that you heard it , but they decided just to leave it there for me. I wish I could Sue Camping World because I'm suing the manufacturer for selling me a pre.Damaged RV .
Update 3 on my 2024 Eddie Bauer 28ft Signature 2300RB
After my return on July 19th, I found damages done while in their possession with my awning arm, wires exposed from where the cap used to be. The bathroom floor is still falling through around the toilet So, they did a quick patch job in nine weeks, my storage area is falling through from water damage, My bedroom floor on both sides are falling through from water damage, I'm getting waterboarded at night from the cabinets above the bed, my skylight is leaking And I can go on. I have yet to hear from management even though I've requested management to be there during the walk through. They both hid in the office because I saw them ( Scott, don't think I don't know what you look like because I found your profile on LinkedIn)
Do not buy from this company unless you feel like going through What i've gone through after being a hurricane victim. They don't hold themselves accountable, and there is no empathy at all. Kailee and Jennifer have been helpful to the best of their abilities. Back to the shop it goes. They quoted me a 4 to 6 week service job, which is hilarious to me since it took 9 weeks for them to do half a bathroom floor that isn't even fixed.
Update 2 41 days later, and nothing has been done, and the shop manager and the shop manager and assistant don't respond to any emails or questions other than vague responses. I've noticed that the camping world doesn't want to comment on my review.. shocker..
: My first question/comment is why Camping World won't honor my Good Sam extended warranty.
The only reason I gave one star is because my salesman, Josh, was amazing. Everything else was a horrible experience for my first-time camper purchase due to hurricane displacement. It was delivered on the 17th by a nice, helpful guy. The 2024 Eddie Bauer 28-foot RV was a huge lemon and not worth what I paid.
Two days after the delivery , it rained, and my camper leaked water inside. The first technician said it was a water heater that was not tightened properly. Then it rained again, and my bathroom got wet with the bathroom rug getting soaked. The second technician that came did a mock rain shower and discovered gaps in the seal outside of the camper that were not sealed. Hence, that's why water was getting in my camper. I voiced my opinion on my fear of water damage. All he did was add silicone to the missing areas and said he fixed it.But now after yet another rainstorm.A few days ago my bathroom floor and my brand new five payments in camper is starting to fall through and is soggy. Camping World has not contacted me in the last 3 days. And I have sent them an email and one phone call each day. If I have an extended warranty and it is under warranty since I've had access to this for 3 months. Why do they not want to help me?
First, I noticed a boot mark on the couch and grease on the slide-out roof (cost me $42 for special RV fabric cleaner). My water heater wasn't installed properly and leaked for two days before I shut the water off. As a newbie, no one returned my calls, and customer service is horrible. The cable connecting the TV to the RV was broken. Wires were pulled and broken; it was just shoved into the wall, knowing it wouldn't work. That cost me fifty dollars to fix, including parts, just to get Wi-Fi in the camper, when it should have already been functional. The back bedroom window doesn't work.
It's definitely not what I expected after spending $49,000.00, including interest. So, there is a lack of communication and a botched RV...
Ā Ā Ā Read more2/24/2021 This was our "HAPPY DAY"... We had paid for our new NO BO 19.5, including the upgraded Solar Charging system, Lithium (LFP) battery bank, and 2KW inverter/charger. We worked with Nathan at Forest Rived to ensure the RV build included what we needed for self-sufficiency off grid. We had a good quote from an Ohio dealer, but Nathan convinced us to move to TravelCamp Ocala (TCO), closer to our home in Pompano Beach. Nathan was good for us except for that dealer choice. That "Happy Day" came after fighting with TCO service department to complete hit list items from an early Jan. 2021 inspection visit. We spent 5 days in local hotels waiting for service to complete their work. We left with a shorter hitlist and the famous "We'll call you when the parts com in FIB". Our trip to Camelot RV Park in Palm Bay was an easy first tow. I recommend the park. Our Telluride AWD SUV handled trailer towing like a champ, even using advanced cruise control in Orlando traffic. I spent most of our 2 days at Camelot correcting installation errors in the Solar/LFP charging System. The inv/cgr was displaying a fatal error code from some installation error, replaced by the vendor, but cost me another $600 to remove/install. Easy trip back to Pompano and into covered storage. Part 1 ... More to follow July 3, 2022 Im BAACK... Mid March 2021, Went back to Camelot RV Park in Palm Bay, FL to enjoy our RV and the Space Coast. Woke up in the middle of the night in a thunderstorm swimming on our new 12" Bed-in-box wonderful mattress. Rain was pouring in around the big front window. It turns out that TCO had repaired the leak with massive amounts of silicone that does not adhere to glass well and with temperature changes, leaks again. The next morning, we opened the front window shade to assess the leaks, and found a crack from the upper left corner of the large safety glass window wandering toward the center. Future forensic evaluation indicates the massive blob of silicone along the top of the window and the thermal changes in the Florida sun caused the crack. Back to TCO with long warranty hitlist including cracked window. Daily... weekly... monthly calls... "We're still waiting for... (pick an excuse.. parts, approval, tech, vacation, hell to have snow)". We needed to visit my ill brother, so we "borrowed" our RV for 2 weeks in August 2021. Repaired the park cable and Wingard antenna system TCO installation errors. Added additional hitlist. Back to TCO. Calls... See calls above... Oh... Happy 2022... Late March 2022, Call from new service writer. It IS ready, yes really, I checked it my self. And so we made an appointment to pick it up and go through check list. No, we will sign off on the repairs after inspection... As we made our way forward in the coach we found a few items that were fixed and others... The "NEW" front shade was still water stained, and when raised revealed a longer crack, now past the center. TWO Very Furious Customers stomped back in to TCO corner office to talk to the GM aka smooth talker. Promised to pull window from another unit. Fact.. New window in stock from FR. Back to HI for another night. Tech trouble shooter from TC Jax corporate did some fixes and installed the window. After repairs, hitlist not completed and Items we paid for not completed, we decided to hook up, during a FL squall, and try to enjoy our unused year old coach. Promised $300 for 2 nights HI. We had lowball offers from 2 other No Bo dealers, so we decided to try again to sell it back to TCO... GM had finally returned from his long lunch? and he offered us 20% less than the others. $400 would not compensate us for taking it to the other dealer so we gave it to TCO. The check for $19600.00 was printed 6/1/22 and sent by overnight mail, arriving 6/16/22... do the math! Refund on $2600 extended warranty authorized 6/3/22, TCO check 6/21/22. Check for HI expense... did it go to you??? Definition of Oxymoron .. "HAPPY TRAVEL-CAMPER" UNLESS YOU ENJOY DECIDING WHICH...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had absolutely no idea what I was doing or what I was shopping for when I stopped at Camping World. I was in the front of the showroom looking at some of the display models outside, when this very tall, opposing looking, gentleman poked his head in the RV I was standing in and asked if he could help me. I asked him if he was a salesperson, he said yes, I said thank goodness, and his snap reply was, "I have never heard that beforešš". His name is Ken Landino (I highly recommend him, (he turned out to be an absolutely wonderful and soft-spoken soft-hearted gentleman), and I told him that I had never done anything like this before. I explained to him that I had never purchased an RV, towed an RV, slept in an RV, or anything like that. And I informed him that I would be staying in it year round due to my travel assignments with LRS Healthcare. Ken took the time to find out what kind of truck, make model and year, I had and searched the appropriate sized RV I could pull. Now keep in mind that he could have gone to the absolute extend and steer me towards the higher end pulling allowance and the most expensive, but said "absolutely not" (his words), "you need also to factor in your personal belongings". He took me around the stockyard and showed me both new and old, short and long, cheap and expensive. And it was he that got me in to the 2023 Coleman Light 2515RL. With my towing limitations, this was the RV that would allow me to pull it with belongings and still have room for unexpected weight. When I I took delivery, a week later, the delivery person took me around the RV and showed me every thing front-back, top-bottom, inside-out. I apologize, but I cannot remember this gentleman's name. He did an absolutely wonderful job. Back to Ken, Ken explained to me the reason for having the extra expense of having the tow distribution/sway bars installed. After pulling it the first time for the 15-20 mi home, I'm very thankful. He did not steer me wrong at all. The installer of the sway bar/weight distribution system, Alberto (I think šš¬), did an absolutely wonderful job of installing and then explaining the entire Bluetooth system. Totally worth it, if nothing else, for the explanation alone. During delivery and paper signing today, the young lady (againš¬ššŖš¬ššŖ I can't remember the name), did a very good job of explaining every page that we had to sign and made the process simple efficient and quick. During the store "walkthrough", (for essentials that are not part of your purchase and absolutely necessary especially for a newbie like me), was handled fairly by the gentleman that helped me. He did not try to sell me anything overly expensive or unnecessary (keep this fact in mind) or frivolous. There were a few people that I had contact with today whose name and rools are beyond me but the checkout lady the mechanic that came and looked at something for me, the assistant checkout lady that helped me return the [(completely useless, not their fault)] side mirror extensions, because they wouldn't fit my vehicle, we're all very instrumental in this entire process. I was absolutely scared out of my shorts for having decided to do this, and everyone from Ken to every person I mentioned name wise or otherwise, made this process the easiest, seamless, painless procedure/purchase. I will definitely use Camping World in the future when I decide to upgrade and/or trade in. I would love to have met the owner of this particular Camping World, but c'est la vie. It would have been an honor to shake his hand and give this review to him personally. Thank you again to everyone involved, (including the parts/service man that set up the sway weight/distribution,...
