These people are SNEAKY!!!! Do not buy from them. They make you wait allllllllllllllllll day when your appointment was at 9am. They are all over the place. No one has the same story going on. Go somewhere else!!! Save your sanity! I would like to add the general manager, although I understand heâs been there only 3 months did get done what I asked after having a heated argument at 4pm (after I posted this top portion). He kept saying he doesnât owe us anything because we signed the âwe oweâ (which is what we signed that needed to be fixed BEFORE any electric was hooked up). Thatâs why I call them sneaky. They have you sign stuff before so they can say they donât owe you anything. Not only that but I was told three different times by three different people how long this walk through process should go. One person said 45 mins to an hour. Another said 2 hours and the manager (after waiting 9 hours) told me âyour paperwork says you will be here forever 5-6 hours to bring a lunch, you should have read your paperworkâ. In which I NEVER received paperwork saying that. Because I showed him the paperwork I got and he ALSO couldnât find it. Our appointment was at 9am we didnât go outside until 11:10. Because they were fixing a gear box and detailing it (even though they had an entire WEEK to do this! Then come to find out the awning arm wasnât ever checked because the guy working on it said it needed to be replaced but it was denied. Then there was an electrical issue in which they hooked it up BACKWARDS! We stood outside in the rain waiting for them to finish this because it was just ridiculous the amount of time spent. We live in our RV full time and traded ours that same morning so this is our home. Also, me and my husband took off work to do this and missed out on pay and wasted the entire day because we didnât leave until 7:00pm. What was asked did get done ONLY because I had to stand up for myself and have a heated argument with the general manager. If I could have canceled this contract I would have and would have taken my money and business somewhere else. The guy who was hauling the RV for me came at 12 cause thatâs when we were supposed to be done. He sat there alllllllll afternoon with us and I had to pay him extra money for his time. Thereâs also some people that say they have âmobile serviceâ and then some that say they donât. WHOâS TELLING THE TRUTH? Everyone is on different pages and I understand the manager is has been there for 3 months and things donât change overnight. But, from what the guy who hauled for me said, this happens EVERYTIME he goes to Optimum RV. No other place but there. Our previous RV we bought from La Mesa in Sanford. It was nothing like this. I lost a lot of money and canceled two other things I had going on because of this nightmare of a day.
If you choose to purchase from here, when they want you to sign the âwe oweâ have them hook it up to electric. They wonât offer it. So request it. The general manager says they will. Make sure they give you a paper that says you will be there for 5-6 hours and to bring a lunch because supposedly they hand those out, so youâre not sitting there waiting with a sales guy coming and saying every 20 minutes, âitâll be a couple more minutesâ or âjust a little longerâ even though they set my appointment for the time they set it for.
Another thing, I had a sales guy and he was alright but he was all over the place talking about everything except what we were there for. But, he had a helper whose name is Rich. Recommend him if you can. Heâs knowledgeable and he will also go stare at the finance guys to make them hurry up with paperwork because they want to sit in the office and talk, joke and drink coffee instead of doing your paperwork while youâve been out there for a couple hours. The day I looked and signed I was there for 5 hours then I had to go back to sign more paperwork because I had to leave at a certain time (and I told them two hours before).
Hopefully I donât need to call with any questions. I might wait a week...
Read moreThere are so many people to acknowledge at Optimum. From our sales rep, to the parts desk, to the service departmentâŚthey were all so helpful and knowledgeable.
Our RV was a perfect fit for us and had it not been for Addiel Perez and Kenny HavilandâŚwe would have made some incredibly poor choices with our 1st time RV purchase.
They found the RIGHT RV for our needs and made sure it was within our budget.
They have an excellent financing network. We signed our contract late in the evening. A lender had given us a great deal and we were stoked! The next morning, after the other potential lenders jumped in and had made their offersâŚwe ended up getting an even better deal! They re-did ALL the paperwork and surprised us the next day with the good news!
The waiting area is comfy.
Big TV and sofas.
Coffee is great.
Everyone pleasant and helpful.
We now LIVE in our 25â Forester at a beautiful campground and COULD NOT be happier!
Our first week we had some electrical issues. Airfryer was drawing too many amps and tripped a circuitâŚbut NOT at any of the panelsâŚthis breaker was a TINY little module located underneath the tongueâŚand the reset button was no larger than a tiny Altoid! We would have NEVER found it.
We made 2 callsâŚand within 20 minutes and some TRULY helpful diagnosticsâŚtheir service team ended our scavenger hunt!
When we first picked up our RV to take it home, there was an issue with my wiring harness for the trailers braking and lights. Immediately someone got on the radio and called for assistance. It was like an episode of âCopsâ, I swear! Golf carts and techs came on the scene like it was a crime scene⌠and had me rolling out in minutes.
With no ticket! đ
What a team at Optimum. Well dressed. Courteous. Excited to help us chase our dreams!
The place is immaculate. Easy to access. Everything organized. Huge inventory. Golf carts.
No beer carts, yetâŚhint, hint
Please, a few honorable mentions before I close:
Kenny (Haviland) oversaw our purchase. His personality makes it easy to ask some really silly âfirst time buyerâ questions without making us feel ignorantâŚand his end-to-end product and financing knowledge blew me away. Very sharp dude. Gives it to you straight. And an excellent mentor. Find him and you wonât regret it.
TorrieâŚhe worked all the magic with our financing. And I must say, unlike many other financing expertsâŚhe kept coming back with GOOD news.
Under promise. Over deliver. My mantra, as well. But this guy is awesome, fast, and thorough. Dude, Iâve been in DMVâs to get license & registration renewed longer than I spent taking care of the paperwork at Optimum!
BTW, they handle all that DMV stuff for you.đ
They donât haggle or try and be slick.
Torrie gives you multiple options and offers perspectives to consider. Then he LEAVESâŚso you have time to mull it over. Cool dude too.
These guys are great. I just canât say enough. I hope everyone has a similar experience if they choose to stop by to tour their HUGE selection of RVâs.
And lastâŚbut most importantly,
Addiel Perez
This handsome Dad is just so real. Family man. Workin his butt off. Closing loops. Returns calls. Calls just to check on us. So genuine. Iâve been in sales myself, so I know the game. This poor kid got stuck with me and my incredibly astute wife at 1800 hours one evening. We were 50/50 on whether we should actually buy a RV before we ever pulled into Optimum. Our other shopping experiences were so âughâ
We had already been to a half-dozen other dealers. Yuchhh. They looked, felt, and were run like used car lots. You could see their dorsal fins sticking out of their shirts đŚ
(Google review has a character limit of like only 3 million charactersâŚwhat a jip!
So Iâm hoping to post the remainder of my review/novella in the photos if interested in reading on)
With much appreciation,
John and Darcey...
Read moreIn July we went to optimum rv, we explained we could not 100% commit to any camper until August 1st due to circumstances with my husbands job. The salesman went to talk to someone in finance to see if they could do anything so it does not sell before we are able to give a definite answer. A finance manager gave me a bunch of paperwork to fill out and sign and I kept saying âwe wonât know for sure until august 1stâ. They said âwe put it in your file that the sale is contingent and to have an answer August 1st. âPossession is 9/10 of the law. Itâs a you owe we owe thingâ, as we also had trade items involved. In the 2 weeks that we were waiting for August 1st, I had got multiple things in the mail from the finance company stating that they had actually already financed the unit for us. I called the salesman we worked with every day for a week and a half with no calls back before finally getting an answer from another salesman. Again, was told itâs contingent so donât worry about it. A couple days later I got a call from the service department saying they would need to cancel our pick up date, due to the refrigerator not working. I explained to them that there was no arranged pick up date as I will not know if we are purchasing the unit until august 1st. This happened not only once but twice. Between August 1st and September 1st, I called the service department numerous of times checking on the status of the refrigerator, if I was lucky enough to have someone answer my call or call me back I was told it wasnât repaired yet and they are waiting on a part from the manufacturer. After 4 weeks of waiting I received a call from the finance department telling me my first payment was due that week and asking when we were going to pick it up. I asked if the refrigerator was fixed and he said he would find out and get back to me. I had to pay payments on a 5th wheel that I havenât even picked up yet. I finally got an update and was told it was good to go. We picked the 5th wheel up on September 1st, during our walk through we explained the refrigerator issue with the employee and how it still didnât seem to be fixed, as it was not cold in the inside. He said that might be because it hasnât been plugged in very long. The next day I called to let them know it still wasnât working. 2 months after pick up and more than 30 calls to the service department and going there to speak to a manager to get a resolution, they finally had a 3rd party appliance repair man come out. I had to tell them more than 3 times what kind of refrigerator we have (even though they should have that info since they already replaced parts and âfixed itâ). Apparently the in house service department cannot work on the residential refrigerator that is in our 5th wheel. How can that be if they have already fixed it? The 3rd party repair man inspected it and explained, âThis is a fire hazard, you are lucky this hasnât caught on fire, we need to unplug it right awayâ. After we unplugged it, he opened up the door panel and it is infested with roaches that have clearly been there for several years. If they repaired it to begin with wouldnât they have noticed the infestation and cleaned it? After explaining the run around we have had to the repair man he told us that it is clear that no one has opened up the inside of the refrigerator to repair it at all. They have been well aware that we are living in it full time, and we do not have a working refrigerator, luckily we do have a small mini fridge to get us by but this is getting ridiculous. I spoke with the service department after the repair man left and all Managers are in a meeting and they do not have a solution right now. I tried to call 3 days after and all managers were in a meeting. Itâs been 1 week since the repair man was here and there has been no call back or any explanation of what the...
