Food Lion — Local services in Belmont

I honestly love this Food Lion, it is very convenient, however, the staff can be very messy. I have never known it to be appropriate to terminate someone over text message, and maybe this is just something that Janetra, or Netra Nacole as named on Facebook, the deli manager does, but that is neither here nor there, I just feel that this is highly unprofessional. I also think that it is unprofessional to fire an employee who informed the employer prior to being hired that there would be some hours of certain days that they would not be able to work due to religious beliefs/events and these specifications are agreed to, for them to then use those as leverage to terminate a person. That is borderline discrimination. If that is how the business is run, then so be it, but I would never recommend Food Lion as a place for someone to be an employee if this is how they...

The upgradres are almost complete! It's been rough waiting. A few local stores have undergone renovations at about the same time. The new hot bar is not as big as I thought it would be. Employees kept saying how great it would be. I'm still waitng on ome fresh salads. I have visited this location daily. As of 8.10.2025 no cut up fruit was fresh. When I went a couple days ago, the refridgerated display was not even turned on! That fruit sat there all day and night. I hope that no one ate that. I tried the past couple days to get salads. They do not have salads! They had left one left over from a couple days ago that no one wanted! I cannot recommend Food Lion. Each of these local stores have been somewhat renovated. Pebble Creek Food Lion is my ALLLLLL time FAVORITE location to shop!!! The cashiers are ALWAYS welcoming and smiling! Even when one is having a bad day they try to go out of their way to help you!!! The shelves are ALWAYS stocked! If you can’t find something the managers are super quick to help locate anything!!! I definitely love this location and try not to shop anywhere else! The store is ALWAYS clean and smells so fresh!! The guy that cleans at this location!!! OMG!!! I wish I could take him home to keep my bathrooms as spotless as he keeps these!!!
