Washboard Laundromat — Local services in Beloit

First of all, this place was filthy. Last week, our dryer was broke. I had just washed a bedspread and had to take it to the laundromat to dry it. Before putting it in the dryer, it smelled "snuggly" fresh! When it came out, it reeked horribly of stale cigarettes mixed with BO!🤬 even outside, in the fresh air, the smell was over powering. Change your filters people!! I had to wash it all over again! The weekend prior, my husband took some clothes to dry, and said it took forever because the dryers didnt get hot! Some serious maintenance is needed at this establishment. Thank God our dryer is fixed. And fyi, the smelly dryer is the first one on the bottom row, from...

This place is ok. Typical of laundromats with similar machine set ups. The only thing that had me feeling odd was what appeared to be a camera in the restroom near the ceiling by the pipes coming out of the wall.

Update: 11/2/23 I went back again today to do laundry. Out of curiosity, I went back into the restroom to look at the hole in the ceiling near the pipe that had what appeared to be a video camera in it. Interestingly, the camera equipment is no longer there. This place gives me a bad vibe. I wouldn't go back. If it were a fire suppression system then why is it gone? I don't need an answer I already know...

Last week my husband came here and used his card to do laundry! So nice I don’t have to make sure I have quarters! Well today I come and use my card. Go to check my bank balance the machine says $2.50 they charged me $10. So I check the reviews to see if anyone else had this problem. One comment says you’ll get refunded what you didn’t use of the $10. My husband did two loads The day he came. Never got a refund for what wasn’t used.
