Eagles' Landing Golf Course — Local services in Belton

Just finished playing here for the first time. I had a 9:30AM tee time that tee'd off on time, but took close to 5 hours to finish. Pace of play was a consistent issue after the first few holes and there was never a marshall driving around to push the pace of whatever group was holding everyone up. This weekend is one of the worst heatwaves of the Summer and there wasn't any water on any of the holes and no cart girl. Before the round, I saw one of the staff yelled at a guest who was trying to bring in a cooler with nothing but water bottles. If you're not going to allow people to bring water on the course, at least provide it yourself.

Finally, every fairway was aerated in the middle of August. We're paying full price for every drive to land in holes the size of quarters. The only reason this isn't a 1-star review is because some of the holes had fun layouts. But most of the holes are directly adjacents to others so people are slicing into your pretty frequently.

If I could give negative stars I would. Very unprofessional staff upon check in for tee time. Was golfing with my father and was told we would have to be paired with a foursome when there was a group of at least 10 in front of us and a solo walking, made absolutely no sense!! Was told we have to pair with someone in order to golf which is completely not true as I am an avid golfer in the area. We told the pro shop we will be going elsewhere and was simply told “good luck” with an attitude behind it. Luckily I had another tee time at Winterstone Golf Course which is 100x better by the way and was able to golf just my dad and I. Since I didn’t get to golf I can comment on the course conditions but from the looks the greens were the only thing that looked decent as I couldn’t really tell the fairway from the rough as I was approaching the pro shop. The management was unkind to us because we were teenagers, and clearly thought we were into trouble when we were just out to play a relaxing round of golf. They charged 20$ per person who rode in one golf cart, when no other course we have ever been to did this. They said they would watch us to make sure we did not ride in a cart, so we had to walk the course when we could have easily sat in the passengers seat. I am very disappointed and will not return to this course. We were using Youth On Course and it was clear they did not know what that was, so we had to use much persuasion, and eventually they allowed us to play for the right price. We brought a cooler filled with water and La Croix, but they assumed it was beer or some type of alcohol, so they did not allow us to bring it on the property, and said they would call the police if we didn't...
