My girlfriend and I have attended this theater multiple times; and the bottom line reality is...these aren't the movies of long ago; when you could pay $2-$3, get a box of M&M's for $1, and see just a basic movie; of which you'd only have maybe 2 choices. This is 2015, so if you think your gonna come to a movie theater and pay a small amount of money for a movie OR for food, then you've got brain damage or expectations are way too high! Fact is; the movies WE'VE CHOSEN whether good or not, is a movie that we chose; of which has no bearing on the quality of the theater. The food and drinks are pricey...but hell, AREN'T THEY ALL?? We already KNOW this. We will pick earlier movies or Tues movies(Tues are only $5 all day AND free popcorn ). Come before 5pm and you pay around $6 any other day. WE have never had an issue with this place, and the staff is friendly as well. All you whiners need to understand the concept of supply and demand. Fact is that theaters are damn near obsolete; so to make money, it's necessary to have it be cost effective; thus an increase in price. If you don't like it; get Netflix!! Remember...YOU CHOSE TO COME; AND COULD HAVE GOTTEN PRICES "BEFORE" DOING SO!! Thank you Bemidji Theater for making us very satisfied...
Read moreLove this place. So far from the days of the archaic Twin Theater. Prices are reasonable and even more reasonable if you stick to matinees or Tuesdays. So awesome being in a small city and able to have many movie options to choose from. For those complaining of price imagine the cost of getting the movie reels from an industry who's actors, directors, and film companies make millions then the cost of electricity and heating for the large facility who's doors are constantly opening and closing. Then you add on the cost of employing all those staff and the actual cost is quite a bit higher than hourly wage. If you are going to movies for the concessions than I question your thought process. If you don't like the prices don't buy them. I appreciate having this entertainment for my family of four and at price that is actually much cheaper than a lot of the...
Read moreThe 3D screen was awesome, but I guess because I am used to the movie theaters closer to Mpls/St.Paul, I was disappointed that they didn't have reclining theater seats like they do in the cities. I moved up to the area a couple years ago, and the closet movie theater to me is a small theater with about 3 screens, which doesn't have 3D. So we decided to go to Bemidji because it had 3D, more screens, etc, so I thought it would have the updated seating also. But if I really think about it, the tickets were a lot cheaper than in the cities so that is probably why. Otherwise, it is a great...
