Larkspur Community Center — Local services in Bend

The customer service is awful. The last few times we have been here Mary at the front desk was very unfriendly. On Saturday we came in with family and friends for my niece's 7th birthday party and she was very rude and accused us of sneaking people in. We brought everyone back up to the front desk and found that she actually charged us for 5 extra people. We couldn't get a refund but passes for next time. Also when we were swimming I seen a small child (not with us) drowning in the deep end from the lazy River I jumped over barrier and saved her. I visit Bend at least once a year and always find a way to exercise at least once while visiting. I keep going back to Larkspur every time. It is such a beautiful facility = kept up so well and the people that work there have always been so nice. They have just enough exercise weights and machines to handle the smaller crowds that they get. The clients tend to be on the older side and sometimes appear to be monitoring the moves each other make but this can also be a good thing because it means the customers care and make it a group effort to keep the place spotless and everything running and working which is all you can ask...

Went there tonight with my SIL and my niece who’s 2 and DOES KNOW HOW TO SWIM (yes she wears a life jacket and there’s always someone with her) they went to go into the hot tub before it was too late but they were told no because my niece wasn’t 16 years old… apparently it’s a rule but they allowed us to go into the hot tub not couple days back when it was the 6:30-8:00.
